1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,	1 David. ALEPH. Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam,
2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.	2 BETH. Deus meus, in te confido; non erubescam. Neque exsultent super me inimici mei,
3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.	3 GHIMEL. etenim universi, qui sustinent te, non confundentur. Confundantur infideliter agentes propter vanitatem.
4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.	4 DALETH. Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi et semitas tuas edoce me.
5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.	5 HE. Dirige me in veritate tua et doce me, quia tu es Deus salutis meae, VAU. et te sustinui tota die.
6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.	6 ZAIN. Reminiscere miserationum tuarum, Domine, et misericordiarum tuarum, quoniam a saeculo sunt.
7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.	7 HETH. Peccata iuventutis meae et delicta mea ne memineris; secundum misericordiam tuam memento mei tu, propter bonitatem tuam, Domine.
8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.	8 TETH. Dulcis et rectus Dominus, propter hoc peccatores viam docebit;
9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.	9 IOD. diriget mansuetos in iudicio, docebit mites vias suas.
10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.	10 CAPH. Universae viae Domini misericordia et veritas custodientibus testamentum eius et testimonia eius.
11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.	11 LAMED. Propter nomen tuum, Domine, propitiaberis peccato meo: multum est enim.
12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.	12 MEM. Quis est homo, qui timet Dominum? Docebit eum viam, quam eligat.
13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.	13 NUN. Anima eius in bonis demorabitur, et semen eius hereditabit terram.
14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.	14 SAMECH. Familiariter aget Dominus cum timentibus eum, ut testamentum suum manifestet illis.
15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.	15 AIN. Oculi mei semper ad Dominum, quoniam ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos.
16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!	16 PHE. Respice in me et miserere mei, quia unicus et pauper sum ego.
17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.	17 SADE. Dilata angustias cordis mei et de necessitatibus meis erue me.
18 SPARE a glance for my misery and pain, take al my sins away.	18 Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum et dimitte universa delicta mea.
19 TAKE note how countless are my enemies, how violent their hatred for me.	19 RES. Respice inimicos meos, quoniam multiplicati sunt et odio crudeli oderunt me.
20 UNLESS you guard me and rescue me I shall be put to shame, for you are my refuge.	20 SIN. Custodi animam meam et erue me; non erubescam, quoniam speravi in te.
21 VIRTUE and integrity be my protection, for my hope, Yahweh, is in you.	21 TAU. Innocentia et aequitas custodiant me, quia sustinui te.
22 Ransom Israel, O God, from al its troubles.	22 PHE. Libera, Deus, Israel ex omnibus tribulationibus suis.
