Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 37

1 לדוד אל תתחר במרעים אל תקנא בעשי עולה	1 A Psalm of David, in commemoration of the Sabbath.
2 כי כחציר מהרה ימלו וכירק דשא יבולון	2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your wrath.
3 בטח ביהוה ועשה טוב שכן ארץ ורעה אמונה	3 For your arrows have been driven into me, and your hand has been confirmed over me.
4 והתענג על יהוה ויתן לך משאלת לבך	4 There is no health in my flesh before the face of your wrath. There is no peace for my bones before the face of my sins.
5 גול על יהוה דרכך ובטח עליו והוא יעשה	5 For my iniquities have walked over my head, and they have been like a heavy burden weighing upon me.
6 והוציא כאור צדקך ומשפטך כצהרים	6 My sores have putrefied and been corrupted before the face of my foolishness.
7 דום ליהוה והתחולל לו אל תתחר במצליח דרכו באיש עשה מזמות	7 I have become miserable, and I have been bent down, even to the end. I have walked with contrition all day long.
8 הרף מאף ועזב חמה אל תתחר אך להרע	8 For my loins have been filled with illusions, and there is no health in my flesh.
9 כי מרעים יכרתון וקוי יהוה המה יירשו ארץ	9 I have been afflicted and greatly humbled. I bellowed from the groaning of my heart.
10 ועוד מעט ואין רשע והתבוננת על מקומו ואיננו	10 O Lord, all my desire is before you, and my groaning before you has not been hidden.
11 וענוים יירשו ארץ והתענגו על רב שלום	11 My heart has been disturbed. My strength has abandoned me, and the light of my eyes has abandoned me, and it is not with me.
12 זמם רשע לצדיק וחרק עליו שניו	12 My friends and my neighbors have drawn near and stood against me. And those who were next to me stood far apart. And those who sought my soul used violence.
13 אדני ישחק לו כי ראה כי יבא יומו	13 And those who sought evil accusations against me were speaking emptiness. And they practiced deceitfulness all day long.
14 חרב פתחו רשעים ודרכו קשתם להפיל עני ואביון לטבוח ישרי דרך	14 But, like someone deaf, I did not hear. And I was like someone mute, not opening his mouth.
15 חרבם תבוא בלבם וקשתותם תשברנה	15 And I became like a man who does not hear, and who has no reproofs in his mouth.
16 טוב מעט לצדיק מהמון רשעים רבים	16 For in you, Lord, I have hoped. You will listen to me, O Lord my God.
17 כי זרועות רשעים תשברנה וסומך צדיקים יהוה	17 For I said, “Lest at any time, my enemies might rejoice over me,” and, “While my feet are being shaken, they have spoken great things against me.”
18 יודע יהוה ימי תמימם ונחלתם לעולם תהיה	18 For I have been prepared for scourges, and my sorrow is ever before me.
19 לא יבשו בעת רעה ובימי רעבון ישבעו	19 For I will announce my iniquity, and I will think about my sin.
20 כי רשעים יאבדו ואיבי יהוה כיקר כרים כלו בעשן כלו	20 But my enemies live, and they have been stronger than me. And those who have wrongfully hated me have been multiplied.
21 לוה רשע ולא ישלם וצדיק חונן ונותן	21 Those who render evil for good have dragged me down, because I followed goodness.
22 כי מברכיו יירשו ארץ ומקלליו יכרתו	22 Do not forsake me, O Lord my God. Do not depart from me.
23 מיהוה מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ	23 Be attentive to my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation.
24 כי יפל לא יוטל כי יהוה סומך ידו
25 נער הייתי גם זקנתי ולא ראיתי צדיק נעזב וזרעו מבקש לחם
26 כל היום חונן ומלוה וזרעו לברכה
27 סור מרע ועשה טוב ושכן לעולם
28 כי יהוה אהב משפט ולא יעזב את חסידיו לעולם נשמרו וזרע רשעים נכרת
29 צדיקים יירשו ארץ וישכנו לעד עליה
30 פי צדיק יהגה חכמה ולשונו תדבר משפט
31 תורת אלהיו בלבו לא תמעד אשריו
32 צופה רשע לצדיק ומבקש להמיתו
33 יהוה לא יעזבנו בידו ולא ירשיענו בהשפטו
34 קוה אל יהוה ושמר דרכו וירוממך לרשת ארץ בהכרת רשעים תראה
35 ראיתי רשע עריץ ומתערה כאזרח רענן
36 ויעבר והנה איננו ואבקשהו ולא נמצא
37 שמר תם וראה ישר כי אחרית לאיש שלום
38 ופשעים נשמדו יחדו אחרית רשעים נכרתה
39 ותשועת צדיקים מיהוה מעוזם בעת צרה
40 ויעזרם יהוה ויפלטם יפלטם מרשעים ויושיעם כי חסו בו
