1 אלה בני ישראל ראובן שמעון לוי ויהודה יששכר וזבלון	1 These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.
2 דן יוסף ובנימן נפתלי גד ואשר	2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 בני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה שלושה נולד לו מבת שוע הכנענית ויהי ער בכור יהודה רע בעיני יהוה וימיתהו	3 Sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitewoman. Er, Judah's first-born, displeased Yahweh who put him to death.

26 ותהי אשה אחרת לירחמאל ושמה עטרה היא אם אונם	26 Jerahmeel had another wife called Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 ויהיו בני רם בכור ירחמאל מעץ וימין ועקר	27 Sons of Ram, Jerahmeel's first-born: Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
28 ויהיו בני אונם שמי וידע ובני שמי נדב ואבישור	28 Sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. Sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 ושם אשת אבישור אביהיל ותלד לו את אחבן ואת מוליד	29 Abishur's wife was cal ed Abihail; she bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 ובני נדב סלד ואפים וימת סלד לא בנים	30 Sons of Nadab: Seled and Ephraim. Seled died leaving no son.
31 ובני אפים ישעי ובני ישעי ששן ובני ששן אחלי	31 Son of Ephraim: Ishi; son of Ishi: Sheshan; son of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32 ובני ידע אחי שמי יתר ויונתן וימת יתר לא בנים	32 Sons of Jada, Shammai's brother: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died leaving no sons.
33 ובני יונתן פלת וזזא אלה היו בני ירחמאל	33 Sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 ולא היה לששן בנים כי אם בנות ולששן עבד מצרי ושמו ירחע	34 Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. He had an Egyptian slave Jarha
35 ויתן ששן את בתו לירחע עבדו לאשה ותלד לו את עתי	35 to whom Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage. She bore him Attai.
36 ועתי הליד את נתן ונתן הוליד את זבד	36 Attai fathered Nathan, Nathan fathered Zabad,
37 וזבד הוליד את אפלל ואפלל הוליד את עובד	37 Zabad fathered Ephlal, Ephlal fathered Obed,
38 ועובד הוליד את יהוא ויהוא הוליד את עזריה	38 Obed fathered Jehu, Jehu fathered Azariah,
39 ועזריה הליד את חלץ וחלץ הליד את אלעשה	39 Azariah fathered Helez, Helez fathered Eleasah,
