God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.1 Unto the end. A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;2 All nations, clap your hands. Shout joyfully to God with a voice of exultation.
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.3 For the Lord is exalted and terrible: a great King over all the earth.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.4 He has subjected the peoples to us and subdued the nations under our feet.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.5 He has chosen us for his inheritance: the splendor of Jacob, whom he has loved.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.6 God ascends with jubilation, and the Lord with the voice of the trumpet.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.7 Sing psalms to our God, sing psalms. Sing psalms to our King, sing psalms.
Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.8 For God is the King of all the earth. Sing psalms wisely.
He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.9 God will reign over the peoples. God sits upon his holy throne.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.10 The leaders of the peoples have been gathered together by the God of Abraham. For the strong gods of the earth have been exceedingly exalted.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
