1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.	1 Au maître de chant. Avec les instruments à cordes. Psaume de David.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.	2 Écoute-moi quand j’appelle, ô Dieu mon défenseur, toi qui dans l’angoisse m’as fait respirer. Aie pitié de moi, entends ma prière.
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.	3 Gens prétentieux, quand donc allez-vous comprendre? Vous aimez ce qui est creux et le mensonge vous plaît.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.	4 Sachez que le Seigneur fait pour moi des merveilles, le Seigneur m’écoute quand je l’appelle.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.	5 Soyez furieux, mais ne faites rien, dites-le pour vous seuls dans votre lit, et puis taisez-vous.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.	6 Offrez le sacrifice comme il se doit et comptez sur le Seigneur.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.	7 Beaucoup disent: “Qui nous donnera le bonheur? la lumière de sa face a fui loin de nous.”
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.	8 Mais pour moi, tu m’as mis la joie au cœur, plus qu’à voir abondance de blé et de vin.
	9 En paix je me couche et m’endors: oui, toi seul, Seigneur, tu mets en sûreté mon gîte.
