1 Molitva. Davidova. Počuj, Jahve pravedni, i vapaj mi poslušaj, usliši molitvu iz usta iskrenih!	1 [Prayer Of David] Listen, Yahweh, to an upright cause, pay attention to my cry, lend an ear to myprayer, my lips free from deceit.
2 Od tebe nek’ mi dođe presuda, tvoje oči vide što je pravo.	2 From your presence wil issue my vindication, your eyes fixed on what is right.
3 Istraži mi srce, pohodi noću, ognjem me iskušaj, al’ u meni nećeš nać’ bezakonja. Ne zgriješiše usta moja	3 You probe my heart, examine me at night, you test me by fire and find no evil. I have not sinned with my mouth
4 kao što griješe ljudi: po riječima usta tvojih čuvah putove Zakona.	4 as most people do. I have treasured the word from your lips,
5 Korak mi čvrsto prionu za tvoje staze, ne zasta mi noga na putima tvojim.	5 my steps never stray from the paths you lay down, from your tracks; so my feet never stumble.
6 Zazivam te, Bože, ti ćeš me uslišit’: prikloni mi uho i čuj riječi moje.	6 I call upon you, God, for you answer me; turn your ear to me, hear what I say.
7 Proslavi na meni dobrotu svoju, ti koji od dušmana izbavljaš one što se utječu desnici tvojoj.	7 Show the evidence of your faithful love, saviour of those who hope in your strength against attack.
8 Čuvaj me k’o zjenicu oka, sakrij me u sjenu krila svojih	8 Guard me as the pupil of an eye, shelter me in the shadow of your wings
9 od zlotvora što na me nasrću. Dušmani me bijesni opkoljuju,	9 from the presence of the wicked who would maltreat me; deadly enemies are closing in on me.
10 bešćutno srce zatvarajui ustima zbore naduto,	10 Engrossed in themselves they are mouthing arrogant words.
11 Koraci njini sad me okružuju, smjeraju da me na zemlju obore;	11 They are advancing against me, now they are closing in, watching for the chance to hurl me to theground,
12 slični lavu dok se, zinuv, na plijen obara i laviću što vreba u potaji.	12 like a lion preparing to pounce, like a young lion crouching in ambush.
13 Ustani, Jahve, presretni ga i obori, od grešnika mi život mačem spasi,	13 Arise, Yahweh, confront him and bring him down, with your sword save my life from the wicked,
14 a rukom od ljudi, Gospodine: od ljudi kojih je dio ovaj život, kojima želudac puniš dobrima; kojih su sinovi siti, a djeci daju što im pretekne.	14 Yahweh, from mortals, by your hand, from mortals whose part in life is in this world. You fill theirbellies from your store, their children wil have all they desire, and leave their surplus to their children.
15 A ja ću u pravdi gledati lice tvoje, i jednom kad se probudim, sit ću ga se nagledati.	15 But I in my uprightness wil see your face, and when I awake I shal be fil ed with the vision of you.
