DOUAI-RHEIMS | KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA |
---|---|
Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself. | 1 A karvezetőnek. A »Szőlőprések« szerint. Ászáftól. |
Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob. | 2 Örvendjetek Istennek, a mi segítőnknek, ujjongjatok Jákob Istenének. |
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp. | 3 Kezdjetek énekelni és szóljon a dob, a szép hangú lant és a hárfa. |
Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity. | 4 Fújjátok a harsonát újholdkor, és holdtöltekor, ünnepünk napján. |
For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob. | 5 Ez Izrael törvénye, Jákob Istenének parancsa. |
He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not. | 6 Bizonyságául rendelte ezt Józsefnek, amikor kivonult Egyiptom földjéről. Ismeretlen beszédet hallottam: |
He removed his back from the burdens: his hands had served in baskets. | 7 »Megszabadítottam hátát a tehertől, kezét a rabszolgakosártól. |
Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction. | 8 Szorongatásodban segítségül hívtál, s én megszabadítottalak, meghallgattalak a fergeteg rejtekéből, a Meriba vizénél próbára tettelek. |
Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me, | 9 Halljad, én népem, hadd intselek! Izrael, bárcsak meghallgatnál engem! |
there shall be no new god in thee: neither shalt thou adore a strange god. | 10 Ne legyen más isten közötted, ne imádj idegen istent! |
For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. | 11 Mert én vagyok a te Urad, Istened, aki kihoztalak téged Egyiptom földjéről: nyisd ki szádat és én megtöltöm. |
But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me. | 12 De népem nem hallgatott szavamra, s Izrael nem figyelt rám. |
So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions. | 13 Ezért ráhagytam őket szívük keménységére, hadd menjenek a saját fejük után. |
If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways: | 14 Ha népem rám hallgatott volna, ha Izrael az én útjaimon járt volna, |
I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them. | 15 rögtön megaláztam volna ellenségeit, s üldözőire vetettem volna kezemet. |
The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever. | 16 Hízelegnének neki az Úr ellenségei, s idejük örökké tartana. |
And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock. | 17 Táplálnám őket a búza javával, és jóltartanám mézzel a kősziklából.« |
