1 Cantico di Maalot. QUELLI che si confidano nel Signore, Son come il monte di Sion, il quale non può essere smosso, E che dimora in perpetuo.	1 A Canticle in steps. When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we became like those who are consoled.
2 Come Gerusalemme è intorniata di monti, Così il Signore è intorno al suo popolo, Da ora in eterno.	2 Then our mouth was filled with gladness and our tongue with exultation. Then they will say among the nations: “The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 Perciocchè la verga d’empietà non riposerà in perpetuo Sopra la sorte de’ giusti; Acciocchè talora i giusti non mettano le lor mani ad alcuna iniquità	3 The Lord has done great things for us. We have become joyful.
4 O Signore, fa’ bene a’ buoni, Ed a quelli che son diritti ne’ lor cuori.	4 Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.
5 Ma, quant’è a quelli che deviano dietro alle loro obliquità, Scaccili il Signore con gli operatori d’iniquità. Pace sia sopra Israele	5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in exultation.
	6 When departing, they went forth and wept, sowing their seeds.
	7 But when returning, they will arrive with exultation, carrying their sheaves.
