| 1 وخرجت القرعة لبني يوسف من اردن اريحا الى ماء اريحا نحو الشروق الى البرية الصاعدة من اريحا في جبل بيت ايل. | 1 The allotment of the descendants of Joseph went from the Jordan by Jericho, east of the waters of Jericho, into the wilderness, going up from Jericho into the hill country to Bethel; |
| 2 وخرجت من بيت ايل الى لوز وعبرت الى تخم الاركيين الى عطاروت | 2 then going from Bethel to Luz, it passes along to Ataroth, the territory of the Archites; |
| 3 ونزلت غربا الى تخم اليفلطيّين الى تخم بيت حورون السفلى والى جازر وكانت مخارجها عند البحر. | 3 then it goes down westward to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and it ends at the sea. |
| 4 فملك ابنا يوسف منسّى وافرايم | 4 The people of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance. |
| 5 وكان تخم بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم. وكانت تخم نصيبهم شرقا عطاروت ادّار الى بيت حورون العليا | 5 The territory of the Ephraimites by their families was as follows: the boundary of their inheritance on the east was Ataroth-addar as far as Upper Beth-horon, |
| 6 وخرج التخم نحو البحر الى المكمتة شمالا ودار التخم شرقا الى تآنة شيلوه وعبرها شرقي ينوحة | 6 and the boundary goes thence to the sea; on the north is Mich-methath; then on the east the boundary turns round toward Taanath-shiloh, and passes along beyond it on the east to Jan-oah, |
| 7 ونزل من ينوحة الى عطاروت ونعرات ووصل الى اريحا وخرج الى الاردن | 7 then it goes down from Jan-oah to Ataroth and to Naarah, and touches Jericho, ending at the Jordan. |
| 8 وجاز التخم من تفوح غربا الى وادي قانة وكانت مخارجه عند البحر. هذا هو نصيب سبط بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم | 8 From Tappuah the boundary goes westward to the brook Kanah, and ends at the sea. Such is the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephraimites by their families, |
| 9 مع المدن المفرزة لبني افرايم في وسط نصيب بني منسّى. جميع المدن وضياعها. | 9 together with the towns which were set apart for the Ephraimites within the inheritance of the Manassites, all those towns with their villages. |
| 10 فلم يطردوا الكنعانيين الساكنين في جازر. فسكن الكنعانيون في وسط افرايم الى هذا اليوم وكانوا عبيدا تحت الجزية | 10 However they did not drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: so the Canaanites have dwelt in the midst of Ephraim to this day but have become slaves to do forced labor. |
