| 1 Voi, signori, ciò ch' è giusto e diritto date alli vostri servi, sapiendo che [anche] voi avete il vostro Signore in cielo. | 1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. |
| 2 A pregare Dio vi sforzate, vegliando in orazione e con referimento di grazie a Dio. | 2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving; |
| 3 E pregate Dio per noi, ch' egli apra la porta della parola (sua) in noi a parlare il servizio di Cristo; per la qual cosa io ne son (preso e) legato, | 3 and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison, |
| 4 (sì che io non posso predicare l'evangelio di Cristo; onde pregate per me) acciò ch' io possa manifestare quello evangelio, sì come conviene a me di parlare. | 4 that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak. |
| 5 Andate con saviezza verso di coloro che son fuori (della fede), e riconquistate il tempo. | 5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. |
| 6 La vostra parola sempre sia condita in grazia con sale, acciò sappiate in che guisa vi convenga rispondere a ciascuno. | 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one. |
| 7 Quelle cose che son a presso di me e li fatti tutti vi farà manifesti Tichico, carissimo nostro fratello, e fedele ministro e insieme servo nel Signore. | 7 Tychicus will tell you all about my affairs; he is a beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. |

| 16 E quando questa epistola sarà intra voi letta, fate che questa medesima sia letta anche nella Chiesa di Laodocea, intra voi. | 16 And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the La-odiceans; and see that you read also the letter from La-odicea. |
| 17 E dite ad Archippo, che ponga mente al ministerio che gli è dato nel Signore, e ch' egli il compia. | 17 And say to Archippus, "See that you fulfil the ministry which you have received in the Lord." |
| 18 La mia salutazione, fatta per mano di Paulo. Ricordatevi de' miei legami. La grazia (del nostro Signore Iesù Cristo) sia con voi. Amen. | 18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my fetters. Grace be with you. |
