| 1 Convocò David tutti i principi d' Israel e i duchi delle tribù e preposti di compagnie i quali ministravano al re, e tribuni e centurioni i quali erano sopra la sostanza del re e sopra le sue possessioni, e' suoi figliuoli con essi, e gli eunuchi, e tutti i potenti e robusti nello esercito di Ierusalem. | 1 David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the officials of the tribes, the officers of the divisions that served the king, the commanders of thousands, the commanders of hundreds, the stewards of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, together with the palace officials, the mighty men, and all the seasoned warriors. |
| 2 E levatosi il re, e istando, disse: intendetemi, fratelli miei e popolo mio: io pensai edificare casa, nella quale riposasse l'arca del patto del Signore, e la banchetta de' piedi del nostro Signore Iddio; e a edificarla io ho ogni cosa apparecchiata. | 2 Then King David rose to his feet and said: "Hear me, my brethren and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God; and I made preparations for building. |
| 3 Ma Iddio mi disse: tu non edificherai casa al mio nome, però che tu se' uomo battagliere, e hai sparto (molto) sangue. | 3 But God said to me, 'You may not build a house for my name, for you are a warrior and have shed blood.' |
| 4 Ma il Signore, Iddio d' Israel, di tutta la casa del mio padre elesse me, ch' io fossi re sopra Israel in sempiterno: ma di Gìuda elesse i prìncipi; della casa di Giuda, la casa del mio padre; e de' figliuoli di mio padre piacque a lui di eleggere me [re] sopra tutto Israel. | 4 Yet the LORD God of Israel chose me from all my father's house to be king over Israel for ever; for he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father's house, and among my father's sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel. |
| 5 E io hoe molti figliuoli i quali m' ha dati; e de' miei figliuoli hae eletto il mio figliuolo Salomone, acciò ch' egli segga nella sedia del regno suo sopra Israel. | 5 And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. |
| 6 E hae detto a me: il tuo figliuolo Salomone edificherà a me la casa, e gli altari miei; però che io l' hoe eletto per figliuolo a me, e io sarò a lui padre. | 6 He said to me, 'It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. |
| 7 E fermerò il suo regno in eterno, se egli perseverà di fare i comandamenti miei e' miei giudicii, sì come fae oggi. | 7 I will establish his kingdom for ever if he continues resolute in keeping my commandments and my ordinances, as he is today.' |
| 8 Ora in cospetto di tutto il popolo d' Israel, udendo il nostro Signore Iddio: guardate e servate gli comandamenti di Dio nostro Signore, acciò che voi possediate la terra buona, e che dopo voi [la] lasciate a' vostri figliuoli insino in sempiterno. | 8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you for ever. |
| 9 E tu, Salomone, figliuolo mio, conosci Iddio del tuo padre, e servi a lui con perfefto cuore e con animo di volontà; però che il Signore cerca tutti li cuori, e tutti i pensierì delle menti intende; se tu domanderai lui, tu il troverai; e se tu lascerai lui, egli getterà te in eterno. | 9 "And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever. |
| 10 Ora però che il Signore tuo ti hae eletto, che tu edifichi a lui casa di Santuario, confòrtati, e fornisci. | 10 Take heed now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it." |
| 11 E diede David al suo figliuolo Salomone la descrizione de' portici e del tempio, e della casa e delle camere, delli luoghi (sacrati e) secreti, e della casa della propiziazione, | 11 Then David gave Solomon his son the plan of the vestibule of the temple, and of its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, and its inner chambers, and of the room for the mercy seat; |
| 12 e ancora di tutti i palazzi che avea pensati, e degli armarii d'intorno per li tesori della casa di Dio, e per lo tesoro de' santi, | 12 and the plan of all that he had in mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, all the surrounding chambers, the treasuries of the house of God, and the treasuries for dedicated gifts; |
| 13 e la divisione de' sacerdoti e de' Leviti, in tutte l'opere della casa del Signore, e tutti i vasi del ministerio del templo del Signore; | 13 for the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and all the work of the service in the house of the LORD; for all the vessels for the service in the house of the LORD, |
| 14 l'oro a peso per ciascuno vaso del ministerio; e l'ariento per peso per l'opera delle vasa, secondo la diversità dell' opera; | 14 the weight of gold for all golden vessels for each service, the weight of silver vessels for each service, |
| 15 e a' candelieri dell' oro, e alle loro lucerne, oro per misura di ciascheduno candeliere e lucerna. Somigliantemente e per gli candelieri dell' ariento e per le lucerne loro, secondo la diversità della misura, diede il peso dell' ariento. | 15 the weight of the golden lampstands and their lamps, the weight of gold for each lampstand and its lamps, the weight of silver for a lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand in the service, |
| 16 E diede l'oro per le mense della proposizione secondo la diversità delle misure; e somigliantemente diede l'ariento per l'altre mense dell' ariento. | 16 the weight of gold for each table for the showbread, the silver for the silver tables, |
| 17 E distribuì l'oro per le fucinole e per le ampolle e per li turiboli, e per l'altre cose le quali doveano essere d'oro purissimo, e anco per gli leoncelli, secondo la qualità della misura di ciascuno leoncello. Somigliantemente i leoni d'ariento; per gli quali partì diverso peso d'ariento. | 17 and pure gold for the forks, the basins, and the cups; for the golden bowls and the weight of each; for the silver bowls and the weight of each; |
| 18 E per l'altare, nel quale s' offeriva lo incenso, diede oro purissimo; e anche che di quello si facessero, in modo di quadriga, cherubini i quali istendessero l'ali, e coprissero l'arca del patto del Signore. | 18 for the altar of incense made of refined gold, and its weight; also his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim that spread their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD. |
| 19 E disse tutte queste [cose] vennero a me scritte per mano del Signore, acciò intendessi l' opera dello esempio. | 19 All this he made clear by the writing from the hand of the LORD concerning it, all the work to be done according to the plan. |
| 20 E disse David al suo figliuolo Salomone: confòrtati, e fa valentemente; non temere, e non avere paura; però che il mio Signore Iddio sarà con esso teco, e non ti lascerà, e non ti abbandonerà, insino a tanto che tu avrai compiuto (e finito) tutto il lavorio del ministerio della casa del Siguore. | 20 Then David said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it. Fear not, be not dismayed; for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished. |
| 21 Ed ecco che tutte le parti de' sacerdoti e de' Leviti saranno con teco in tutto il (lavorio del) ministerio della casa del Signore, e saranno apparecchiati, e così i principi come il popolo sapranno obbedire a' tuoi comandamenti. | 21 And behold the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God; and with you in all the work will be every willing man who has skill for any kind of service; also the officers and all the people will be wholly at your command." |
