1 I figliuoli d' Israel secondo il numero loro, principi delle famiglie, e tribuni e centurioni e prefetti, i quali ministravano al re per le loro compagnie, entrando e uscendo per uno mese dell' anno, [a] XXIIII m. ciascuno era preposto.	1 This is the list of the people of Israel, the heads of fathers' houses, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who served the king in all matters concerning the divisions that came and went, month after month throughout the year, each division numbering twenty-four thousand:
2 Alla prima compagnia, il primo mese, Iesboam era preposto, figliuolo di Zabdiel, e sotto lui XXIIII m.	2 Jashobeam the son of Zabdi-el was in charge of the first division in the first month; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
3 de' figliuoli di Fares, principe di tutti i prìncipi dello esercito nel primo mese.	3 He was a descendant of Perez, and was chief of all the commanders of the army for the first month.
4 Del secondo mese avea la compagnia Dudia Aoito, e dopo lui uno altro il quale avea nome Macellot, il quale reggea parte dello esercito di XXIIII m.	4 Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division of the second month; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
5 Il duca della terza compagnia, nel terzo mese, era Banaia figliuolo di Ioiada sacerdote; e nella sua divisione ventiquattro migliaia.	5 The third commander, for the third month, was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, as chief; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
6 E questo è Banaia fortissimo tra' trenta e sopra'trenta; era preposto alla sua compagnia Amizadab suo figliuolo.	6 This is the Benaiah who was a mighty man of the thirty and in command of the thirty; Ammizabad his son was in charge of his division.
7 Il quarto, nel quarto mese, Asael fratello di Ioab, e Zabadia suo figliuolo dopo lui; e nella sua compagnia erano ventiquattro migliaia.	7 Asahel the brother of Joab was fourth, for the fourth month, and his son Zebadiah after him; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
8 Il quinto, nel quinto mese, principe Samaot Iezerite; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	8 The fifth commander, for the fifth month, was Shamhuth, the Izrahite; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
9 Il sesto, nel sesto mese, Ira figliuolo di Acces Tecuite; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	9 Sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira, the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
10 Il settimo, nel mese settimo, Elles Fallonite de' figliuoli di Efraim; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	10 Seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
11 E l'ottavo, nel mese VIII, Sobocai Usatite della stirpe di Zarai; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII milia.	11 Eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
12 Il nono, nel nono mese, Abiezer Anatotite della stirpe di Gemini; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	12 Ninth, for the ninth month, was Abi-ezer of Anathoth, a Benjaminite; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
13 Il decimo, nel mese decimo, Marai, il quale era Netofatite della stirpe di Zarai; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	13 Tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai of Netophah, of the Zerahites; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
14 L' undecimo, nel mese undecimo, Banaia Faratonite de' figliuoli di Efraim; e nella turma loro (ovvero compagnia) XXIIII m.	14 Eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah of Pirathon, of the sons of Ephraim; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
15 Il duodecimo, nel duodecimo mese, Oldai Netofatite della stirpe di Gotoniel; e nella sua compagnia XXIIII m.	15 Twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othni-el; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
16 E alle tribù d' Israel soprastavano: a' Rubeniti, il duca Eliezer figliuolo di Zecri; a' Simeoniti, il duca Safatia figliuolo di Maaca.	16 Over the tribes of Israel, for the Reubenites Eliezer the son of Zichri was chief officer; for the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah;
17 Ai leviti, Asabia figliuolo di Camuel; agli Aaroniti, Sadoc.	17 for Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel; for Aaron, Zadok;
18 Agli Iudaiti, Eliu fratello di David; agl' Issacariti, Amri figliuolo di Micael.	18 for Judah, Elihu, one of David's brothers; for Issachar, Omri the son of Michael;

21 Alla mezza tribù di Manasse in Galaad, Iaddo figliuolo di Zacaria; e a Beniamin, Iasiel figliuolo di Abner.	21 for the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; for Benjamin, Ja-asi-el the son of Abner;
22 E a Dan, Ezriel figliuolo di Ieroam; e questi sono i principi de' figliuoli d'Israel.	22 for Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the leaders of the tribes of Israel.
23 E non gli volle numerare David da XX anni in giuso; però ch' avea detto Iddio, che Israel moltiplicherebbe come le stelle del cielo.	23 David did not number those below twenty years of age, for the LORD had promised to make Israel as many as the stars of heaven.
24 Ioab figliuolo di Sarvia avea cominciato a numerare, e non l'avea compiuto; però che per questo era venuta l'ira sopra Israel; e però il numero di quelli ch' erano numerati, non era ancora portato a David re.	24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but did not finish; yet wrath came upon Israel for this, and the number was not entered in the chronicles of King David.
25 E Azmot figliuolo di Adiel fu sopra gli tesori del re; ma a quelli tesori, i quali erano nelle città, ne' borghi e nelle torri, era soprastante Ionata figliuolo di Ozia.	25 Over the king's treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adi-el; and over the treasuries in the country, in the cities, in the villages and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah;
26 All' opere delle ville, e a quelli lavoravano le terre, soprastava Ezri figliuolo di Chelub.	26 and over those who did the work of the field for tilling the soil was Ezri the son of Chelub;
27 E a quelli che coltivavano le vigne, Semeia di Romata; e alle celle del vino, Zabdia Afonite.	27 and over the vineyards was Shime-i the Ramathite; and over the produce of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite.
28 E sopra gli oliveti e ficheti ch' erano nei campestri, Balana Gederite; e sopra le botteghe dell' olio, Ioas.	28 Over the olive and sycamore trees in the Shephelah was Baal-hanan the Gederite; and over the stores of oil was Joash.
29 E sopra gli armenti, i quali si governavano in Saron, era preposto Setrai di Saron; sopra gli buoi, i quali erano nelle valli, Safat figliuolo di Adli.	29 Over the herds that pastured in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; over the herds in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai.
30 E sopra i cammelli era Ubil Ismaelite; e sopra gli asini, Iadia Meronatite.	30 Over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the she-asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite. Over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.
31 E sopra le pecore, Iagiz Agareo. Tutti questi erano principi della sostanza del re David.	31 All these were stewards of King David's property.
32 E Ionatan zio di David, uomo prudente e letterato, era consigliere; egli e laiel figliuolo di Acamoni [erano] cogli figliuoli del re.	32 Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counselor, being a man of understanding and a scribe; he and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni attended the king's sons.
33 E anco Achitofel era consigliere del re, e Cusai Arachite era amico del re.	33 Ahithophel was the king's counselor, and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend.
34 Dopo Achitofel fu Ioiada figliuolo di Banaia, e Abiatar. Ma principe dello esercito del re era Ioab.	34 Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. Joab was commander of the king's army.
