1 А втім, молітеся, брати, за нас, щоб Господнє слово ширилося та звеличувалося, як і у вас,	1 Final y, brothers, pray for us that the Lord's message may spread quickly, and be received with honouras it was among you;
2 і щоб ми визволилися від безпутніх та поганих людей, бо не в усіх — віра!	2 and pray that we may be preserved from bigoted and evil people, for not everyone has faith.
3 Господь же вірний і він вас зміцнить, і збереже від злого.	3 You can rely on the Lord, who wil give you strength and guard you from the evil One,
4 Ми певні в Господі щодо вас, що те, що ми наказуємо вам, ви чините й далі будете чинити.	4 and we, in the Lord, have every confidence in you, that you are doing and wil go on doing al that wetel you.
5 Господь же нехай направить серця ваші на любов Божу й на Христову терпеливість.	5 May the Lord turn your hearts towards the love of God and the perseverance of Christ.
6 А вам, брати, наказуємо в ім’я Господа нашого Ісуса Христа сторонитися кожного брата, який живе в ледарстві, а не за переданням, що ви його прийняли.	6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we urge you, brothers, to keep away from any of the brothers wholives an undisciplined life, not in accordance with the tradition you received from us.
7 Самі бо знаєте, як треба нас наслідувати. Ми ж безладдя поміж вами не коїли,	7 You know how you should take us as your model: we were not undisciplined when we were with you,
8 ані не їли ні в кого дармо хліба, а вдень і вночі тяжко та гірко працювали, щоб не утруднювати з вас нікого.	8 nor did we ever accept food from anyone without paying for it; no, we worked with unsparing energy,night and day, so as not to be a burden on any of you.
9 Не тому, що не маємо на це права, а тому, щоб дати себе вам за зразок, щоб ви нас наслідували.	9 This was not because we had no right to be, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to imitate.
10 Бо коли ми були у вас, ми вам це наказали: Як хтось не хоче працювати, хай і не їсть.	10 We urged you when we were with you not to let anyone eat who refused to work.
11 Та проте чуємо, що деякі у вас живуть у ледарстві й не роблять нічого, тільки байдикують.	11 Now we hear that there are some of you who are living lives without any discipline, doing no workthemselves but interfering with other people's.
12 Таким то наказуємо і велимо Господом нашим Ісусом Христом спокійно працювати і споживати хліб, що самі заробили.	12 In the Lord Jesus Christ, we urge and cal on people of this kind to go on quietly working and earningthe food that they eat.
13 А ви, брати, не втомлюйтеся добро чинити.	13 My brothers, never slacken in doing what is right.
14 Коли ж хтось не послухається нашого слова, що в цім листі, затавруйте такого й не приставайте з ним, йому на застидження.	14 If anyone refuses to obey what I have written in this letter, take note of him and have nothing to dowith him, so that he wil be ashamed of himself,
15 Однак, за ворога його не вважайте, лише напоумте як брата.	15 though you are not to treat him as an enemy, but to correct him as a brother.
16 Сам же Господь миру нехай дасть вам мир завжди й усяким робом. Господь з усіма вами!	16 May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at al times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.
17 Привіт моєю, Павловою, рукою. Це знак у кожнім моїм посланні: так пишу.	17 This greeting is in my own hand-PAUL. It is the mark of genuineness in every letter; this is my own writing.
