1 Celebrate il Signore e invocate il suo nome, proclamate fra ì popoli le sue gesta.	1 Bless Yahweh, my soul, Yahweh, my God, how great you are! Clothed in majesty and splendour,
2 A lui cantate, a lui salmeggiate, raccontate tutte le sue maraviglie.	2 wearing the light as a robe! You stretch out the heavens like a tent,
3 Gloriatevi nel suo santo nome; gioisca il cuore di coloro che cercano il Signore.	3 build your palace on the waters above, making the clouds your chariot, gliding on the wings of thewind,
4 Cercate il Signore e confortatevi, cercate sempre la sua faccia.	4 appointing the winds your messengers, flames of fire your servants.
5 Ricordatevi delle maraviglie da lui fatte, dei suoi prodigi e dei giudizi usciti dalla sua bocca.	5 You fixed the earth on its foundations, for ever and ever it shal not be shaken;
6 O prole del suo servo Àbramo, o figli del suo eletto Giacobbe,	6 you covered it with the deep like a garment, the waters overtopping the mountains.
7 Egli è il Signore Dio nostro, per tutta la terra han valore i suoi giudizi.	7 At your reproof the waters fled, at the voice of your thunder they sped away,
8 Si è sempre ricordato del suo patto, della sua parola da lui impegnata per mille generazioni,	8 flowing over mountains, down val eys, to the place you had fixed for them;

25 Dei quali volse il cuore ad odiare il suo popolo, a trattar perfidamente i suoi servi.	25 Then there is the sea, with its vast expanses teeming with countless creatures, creatures both greatand smal ;
26 Mandò il suo servo Mosè, Aronne, scelto da lui stesso.	26 there ships pass to and fro, and Leviathan whom you made to sport with.
27 Affidò loro la parola dei suoi miracoli, i prodigi da farsi nella terra di Cam.	27 They al depend upon you, to feed them when they need it.
28 Mandò le tenebre e fece buio, e non rese vane le sue parole.	28 You provide the food they gather, your open hand gives them their fil .
29 Cangiò in sangue le loro acque e fece perire i loro pesci.	29 Turn away your face and they panic; take back their breath and they die and revert to dust.
30 La loro terra brulicò di rane nelle stesse camere dei loro re.	30 Send out your breath and life begins; you renew the face of the earth.
31 Ad una sua parola apparvero i tafani e le zanzare in tutto il loro paese.	31 Glory to Yahweh for ever! May Yahweh find joy in his creatures!
32 Mandò loro, invece di pioggia, la grandine e fiamme di fuoco nella loro terra,	32 At his glance the earth trembles, at his touch the mountains pour forth smoke.
33 E colpì le loro vigne e i loro fichi, e fece in pezzi gli alberi delle loro contrade.	33 I shal sing to Yahweh al my life, make music for my God as long as I live.
34 Ad una sua parola vennero le locuste e bruchi senza numero,	34 May my musings be pleasing to him, for Yahweh gives me joy.
35 E divorarono ogni verdura del loro paese e divorarono ogni frutto delle loro contrade.	35 May sinners vanish from the earth, and the wicked exist no more! Bless Yahweh, my soul.
36 E colpì ogni primogenito della loro terra, le primizie d'ogni loro vigore.
37 E fece partire il suo popolo carico d'oro e d'argento, e nelle sue tribù non c'era un malato.
38 Si rallegrò l'Egitto per la loro partenza, perchè lo spavento d'Israele li opprimeva.
39 Egli stese una nuvola a loro riparo e un fuoco perchè li illuminasse durante la notte.
40 A loro richiesta fece venire le quaglie e li saziò con pane del cielo.
41 Fendè la roccia e ne sgorgarono le acque, corsero come fiumi nel deserto.
42 Ben ricordando la sua santa parola data ad Abramo suo servo,
43 Condusse via il suo popolo festante, e i suoi eletti pieni di gioia,
44 E diede loro le terre delie genti, li fece padroni delle fatiche dei popoli,
45 Affinchè osservino i suoi comandameli ti e mettano in pratica la sua legge.
