Zacarias 6

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Levantando de novo os olhos, olhei e vi quatro carros que saíam dentre duas montanhas: estas eram montanhas de bronze.	1 Again I raised my eyes and saw four chariots coming out from between two mountains; and the mountains were of bronze.
2 No primeiro carro havia cavalos vermelhos; no segundo cavalos negros;	2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot black horses,
3 no terceiro, cavalos brancos e, no quarto, cavalos baios.	3 the third chariot white horses, and the fourth chariot spotted horses--all of them strong horses.
4 Tomando então a palavra, perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: Que carros são esses, meu Senhor?	4 I asked the angel who spoke with me, "What are these, my lord?"
5 Ele respondeu-me: Eles vão para os quatro ventos do céu e deixam o lugar onde se apresentaram diante do Senhor de toda a terra.	5 The angel said to me in reply, "These are the four winds of the heavens, which are coming forth after being reviewed by the LORD of all the earth."
6 Os cavalos negros dirigem-se para o norte, os brancos para o ocidente, os baios para o sul.	6 The chariot with the black horses was turning toward the land of the north, the red and the white horses went after them, and the spotted ones went toward the land of the south.
7 Partiram fogosos e procuraram lançar-se para percorrer a terra. O Senhor disse-lhes: Ide, percorrei a terra! E eles puseram-se a percorrer a terra.	7 As these strong horses emerged, eager to set about patrolling the earth, he said, "Go, patrol the earth!" Then, as they patrolled the earth,
8 Ele chamou-me e disse: Olha: os que se dirigem para o norte vão saciar a minha cólera contra a terra do norte.	8 he called out to me and said, "See, they that go forth to the land of the north will make my spirit rest in the land of the north."
9 A palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:	9 This word of the LORD then came to me:
10 Vai e recebe a oferta da comunidade, os dons de Heldai, Tobias e Jedaia; vai hoje mesmo à casa de Josias, filho de Sofonias, pois se dirigiram para lá de volta de Babilônia.	10 Take from the returned captives Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah; and go the same day to the house of Josiah, son of Zephaniah (these had come from Babylon).
11 Tomarás prata e ouro e farás uma coroa, que porás sobre a cabeça do sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Josedec,	11 Silver and gold you shall take, and make a crown; place it on the head of (Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest) Zerubbabel.
12 e lhe dirás: Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos: Eis o homem, cujo nome é Gérmen; alguma coisa vai germinar de sua linhagem.	12 And say to him: Thus says the LORD of hosts: Here is a man whose name is Shoot, and where he is he shall sprout, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
13 Ele é que reconstruirá o templo do Senhor: usará insígnias reais e sentar-se-á como rei sobre o seu trono; terá um sacerdote à sua direita, e reinará a perfeita paz entre eles,	13 Yes, he shall build the temple of the LORD, and taking up the royal insignia, he shall sit as ruler upon his throne. The priest shall be put at his right hand, and between the two of them there shall be friendly understanding.
14 A coroa será conservada no templo do Senhor em memória de Heldai, Tobias e Jedaia, como também de Josias, filho de Sofonias.	14 The crown itself shall be a memorial offering in the temple of the LORD in favor of Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and the son of Zephaniah.
15 Virão então aqueles que se acham distantes para trabalhar na construção do templo do Senhor, e sabereis que fui enviado a vós pelo Senhor dos exércitos. Tudo isso há de realizar-se, se fordes dóceis à voz do Senhor, vosso Deus.	15 And they who are from afar shall come and build the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And if you heed carefully the voice of the LORD your God. . . .
