Livro dos Salmos 99

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 O Senhor reina, tremem os povos; seu trono está sobre os querubins: vacila a terra.	1 Yahweh is king, the peoples tremble; he is enthroned on the winged creatures, the earth shivers;
2 Grande é o Senhor em Sião, elevado acima de todos os povos.	2 Yahweh is great in Zion. He is supreme over al nations;
3 Seja celebrado vosso grande e temível nome, porque ele é Santo.	3 let them praise your name, great and awesome; holy is he
4 Reina o Rei poderoso que ama a justiça; sois vós que estabeleceis o que é reto, sois vos que exerceis em Jacó o direito e a justiça.	4 and mighty! You are a king who loves justice, you established honesty, justice and uprightness; inJacob it is you who are active.
5 Exaltai ao Senhor, nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos ante o escabelo de seus pés, porque ele é Santo.	5 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his footstool; holy is he!
6 Entre seus sacerdotes estavam Moisés e Aarão, e Samuel um dos que invocaram o seu nome: clamavam ao Senhor, que os atendia.	6 Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel, calling on his name; they called on Yahweh andhe answered them.
7 Falava-lhes na coluna de nuvem, eles guardavam os seus preceitos e a lei que lhes havia dado.	7 He spoke with them in the pil ar of fire, they obeyed his decrees, the Law he gave them.
8 Senhor, nosso Deus, vós os ouvistes, fostes para eles um Deus propício, ainda quando puníeis as suas injustiças.	8 Yahweh our God, you answered them, you were a God of forgiveness to them, but punished them fortheir sins.
9 Exaltai ao Senhor, nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos ante sua montanha santa, porque santo é o Senhor, nosso Deus.	9 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his holy mountain; holy is Yahweh our God!
