O Senhor disse a Moisés:1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
"Eis que chamei por seu nome Beseleel, filho de Uri, filho de Hur, da tribo de Judá.2 “Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah,
Eu o enchi do espírito divino para lhe dar sabedoria, inteligência e habilidade para toda sorte de obras:3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, and understanding, and knowledge in every craft,
invenções, trabalho de ouro, de prata, de bronze,4 in order to design whatever must be fabricated from gold, and silver, and brass,
gravuras em pedras de engastes, trabalho em madeira e para executar toda sorte de obras.5 from marble, and precious stones, and various woods.
Associei-lhe Ooliab, filho de Aquisamec, da tribo de Dã. E dou a sabedoria ao coração de todos os homens inteligentes, a fim de que executem tudo o que te ordenei;6 And I have given to him, as his associate, Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan. And I have placed wisdom in the heart of every artisan, so that they may make everything as I have instructed you:
a tenda de reunião, a arca da aliança, a tampa que a recobre e todos os móveis da tenda;7 the tabernacle of the covenant, and the ark of the testimony, and the propitiatory which is over it, and all the vessels of the tabernacle,
a mesa e todos os seus acessórios, o candelabro de ouro puro e todos os seus acessórios, o altar dos perfumes,8 and the table and its vessels, the most pure lampstand with its vessels, and the altars of incense
o altar dos holocaustos, e todos os seus utensílios, a bacia com seu pedestal;9 and of holocaust and all their vessels, the washtub with its base,
as vestes litúrgicas, os ornamentos sagrados para o sacerdote Aarão, as vestes de seus filhos para as funções sacerdotais;10 the holy vestments for the ministry of Aaron the priest, and for his sons, so that they may execute their office of sacred rites,
o óleo de unção e o incenso perfumado para o santuário. Eles se conformarão em tudo às ordens que te dei."11 the oil of unction, and the incense of aromatics in the Sanctuary. All the things that I have instructed you, they shall make.”
O Senhor disse a Moisés:12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
"Dize aos israelitas: observareis os meus sábados, porque este é um sinal perpétuo entre mim e vós, para que saibais que eu sou o Senhor, que vos santifico.13 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: See that you keep my Sabbath. For it is a sign between me and you among your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctifies you.
Guardareis o sábado, pois ele vos deve ser sagrado. Aquele que o violar será morto; quem fizer naquele dia uma obra qualquer será cortado do meio do seu povo.14 Keep my Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever will have polluted it, shall die a death. Whoever will have done any work in it, his soul shall perish from the midst of his people.
Trabalhar-se-á durante seis dias, mas o sétimo dia será um dia de repouso completo consagrado ao Senhor. Se alguém trabalhar no dia de sábado será punido de morte.15 For six days you shall do work. On the seventh day, it is the Sabbath, a rest sanctified by the Lord. All who will have done work on this day shall die.
Os israelitas guardarão o sábado, celebrando-o de idade em idade com um pacto perpétuo.16 Let the sons of Israel keep the Sabbath, and let them celebrate it throughout their generations. It is an everlasting covenant
Este será um sinal perpétuo entre mim e os israelitas, porque o Senhor fez o céu e a terra em seis dias e no sétimo dia ele cessou de trabalhar e descansou."17 between me and the sons of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work.”
Tendo o Senhor acabado de falar a Moisés sobre o monte Sinai, entregou-lhe as duas tábuas do testemunho, tábuas de pedra, escritas com o dedo de Deus.18 And the Lord, having completed speaking in this way on Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tablets of testimony, written with the finger of God.
