BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Figliuolo mio, custodisci le mie parole e fa' tesoro de' miei precetti;	1 My child, keep my words, and treasure my precepts,
2 osserva, o figliuolo, i miei comandamenti e vivrai, e sia la mia legge come la pupilla de' tuoi occhi.	2 keep my precepts and you wil live, keep my teaching as the apple of your eye.
3 Legali alle tue dita, scrivili sulle tavole del tuo cuore.	3 Bind these to your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Di ' alla sapienza : « Tu sei la mia sorella” e la prudenza chi ama la tua amica;	4 Say to Wisdom, 'You are my sister!' Cal Understanding your relation,
5 affinchè ti custodisca dalla donna altrui, dalla straniera che ha le parole leziose.	5 to save yourself from the woman that belongs to another, from the stranger, with her seductive words.

24 Ed ora, figliuolo, ascoltami, e fa' attenzione alle parole della mia bocca:	24 And now, son, listen to me, pay attention to the words I have to say:
25 Il tuo cuore non ti trascini per la strada di costei; non lasciarti attirare agl'ingannevoli suoi sentieri.	25 do not let your heart stray into her ways, or wander into her paths;
26 Perchè molti ne ha fatti cadere feriti e anche i più forti furono da essa fatti perire.	26 she has done so many to death, and the strongest have al been her victims.
27 Le strade dell'Inferno sono quelle della sua casa che scendono nei penetrali della Morte.	27 Her house is the way to Sheol, the descent to the courts of death.
