1 Unto the end. With Praises. A Psalm of Asaph. A Canticle to the Assyrians.	1 Au maître de chant. Sur l’air “ne détruis pas…”. Psaume d’Asaf. Cantique.
2 In Judea, God is known. In Israel, his name is great.	2 Nous voulons, ô Dieu, nous voulons te louer; ceux qui vénèrent ton nom rediront tes merveilles.
3 And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion.	3 “Laissez-moi fixer la date, et je ferai le juge, je mettrai la justice.
4 In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle.	4 Le monde est bouleversé avec ses habitants, à moi de rétablir ses bases!
5 You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity.	5 Je dis aux arrogants: Baissez le ton! Je dis aux mécréants: Vous n’êtes pas les plus forts!
6 All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.	6 Cessez de vous imposer par la force, ne parlez plus de Dieu avec orgueil.”
7 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep.	7 Car le voici qui vient: pas de l’orient, ni du couchant, ni du désert, ni des montagnes:
8 You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath.	8 mais il est là, Dieu, le juge, pour abaisser les uns, élever les autres.
9 You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted,	9 Le Seigneur tient en main la coupe avec son vin drogué, épicé. Il la passe, et les méchants tour à tour la vident, ils en avalent le mélange.
10 when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth.	10 J’ai là de quoi me réjouir, je n’en finirai pas; je chanterai le Dieu de Jacob.
11 For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you.	11 Aux méchants, il sciera les cornes, et ce sont les justes qui relèveront la tête.
12 Make vows and pay them to the Lord, your God. All you who surround him bring gifts: to him who is terrible,
13 even to him who takes away the spirit of leaders, to him who is terrible with the kings of the earth.
