1 As regards his palace, Solomon spent thirteen years on it before the building was completed.	1 Quanto à sua casa Salomão edificou-a e completou-a dentro do espaço de treze anos.
2 He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon, a hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubitshigh, on four rows of cedar-wood pil ars,	2 Edificou a Casa do Bosque do Líbano, que tinha cem côvados de comprido, cinqüenta côvados de largo, e trinta côvados de alto, sobre quatro filas de colunas de cedro, porque ele tinha mandado cortar paus de cedro para estas colunas.
3 with lengths of cedar wood laid horizontal y on the pil ars. The upper part was panel ed with cedar rightdown to the tie-beams on forty-five pillars, fifteen in each row.	3 Forrou de madeira de cedro todo o tecto, que se sustentava em quarenta e cinco colunas. Cada ordem tinha quinze colunas,
4 There were three rows of window-frames, with the windows corresponding to one another at threelevels.	4 postas umas em frente das outras,
5 Al the doorways and windows were rectangular, with the windows corresponding to one another atthree levels.	5 e as colunas correspondiam-se em frente umas das outras, a igual distância entre si, e sobre as colunas havia umas vigas quadradas inteiramente iguais.
6 He also made the Colonnade, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits broad, with a cornice in front.	6 Fez um pórtico de colunas, que tinha cinqüenta côvados de comprido e trinta côvados de largo, e um outro pórtico em frente do pórtico maior, com colunas e arquitraves sobre as colunas.
7 He also made the Hal of the Throne where he used to dispense justice, that is, the Hal of Justice; it waspanel ed in cedar from floor to beams.	7 Fez também o pórtico do trono, onde estava o tribunal, e forrou-o de madeiras de cedro desde o pavimento até ao tecto.
8 His own living quarters, in the other court and inwards from the Hal , were of the same construction. Andthere was a house similar to this Hal for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage.	8 A sua residência, construída no outro átrio, dentro do pórtico, era de trabalho semelhante. Fez também para a filha de Faraó (com a qual se tinha casado) uma casa da mesma arquitectura que este pórtico.
9 Al these buildings were of special stones cut to measure, trimmed on the inner and outer sides with thesaw, from the foundations to the coping-	9 Todos estes edifícios, desde os fundamentos até ao cimo das paredes, e por fora até ao átrio maior, eram de pedras valiosas, que tinham sido serradas de uma mesma forma e medida, tanto por dentro como por fora.
10 the foundations were of special stones, huge stones, of ten and eight cubits,	10 Os fundamentos eram também de pedras valiosas, pedras grandes de dez ou de oito côvados.
11 and, above these, special stones, cut to measure, and cedar wood-	11 Dali para cima havia pedras de muito valor, cortadas em Igual medida, e cobertas também de cedro.
12 and, on the outside, the great court had three courses of dressed stone round it and one course ofcedar beams; so also had the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh and the vestibule of the Temple.	12 O átrio maior era redondo, e tinha três ordens de pedras de cantaria, e uma ordem de cedro lavrado; tudo igual, tanto do átrio interior da casa do Senhor, como no pórtico da casa.
13 King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre;	13 Mandou também o rei Salomão que de Tiro viesse Hirão,
14 he was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, but his father had been a Tyrian, a bronzeworker.He was a highly intel igent craftsman, skil ed in al types of bronzework. He came to King Solomon and did althis work for him.	14 filho duma mulher viúva da tribo de Neftali, cujo pai era de Tiro, que trabalhava em bronze, e era cheio de sabedoria, de inteligência e de ciência para fazer todo o gênero de obras de bronze. Tendo-se, pois, Hirão apresentado ao rei Salomão, fez todas as suas obras.
15 He cast the two bronze pillars; the height of one pil ar was eighteen cubits, and a cord twelve cubitslong gave the measurement of its girth; so also was the second pil ar.	15 Fundiu duas colunas de bronze, tendo cada uma dezoito côvados de altura; a sua periferia media-se com um fio de doze côvados.
16 He made two capitals of cast bronze for the tops of the pil ars; the height of one capital was five cubits,and the height of the other five cubits.	16 Fez também dois capitéis de bronze fundido para os pôr sobre o alto das colunas; um capitel tinha cinco côvados de altura, e o outro capitel era também da altura de cinco côvados;
17 He made two sets of filigree to cover the moulding of the two capitals surmounting the pil ars, onefiligree for one capital and one filigree for the other.	17 estavam cercados como que de uma espécie de rede, e de cadeias artisticamente entrelaçadas entre si. Ambos os capitéis das colunas eram fundidos; havia sete ordens de malhas num capitel, e outras sete no outro capitel.
18 He also made pomegranates: two rows of them round each filigree,four hundred in al ,	18 Rematou as colunas com duas ordens de romãs ao redor de cada uma das malhas, para cobrir os capitéis que estavam no alto; o mesmo fez também no segundo capitel.
19 The capitals surrounding the pil ars were lily-shaped.	19 Os capitéis, que estavam no alto das colunas no pórtico, eram fabricados em forma de açucena, com quatro côvados de altura.
20 applied on the raised moulding behind the filigree; there were two hundred pomegranates round onecapital and the same round the other capital.	20 Além disto, no alto das colunas sobre as malhas, havia outros capitéis proporcionados à medida da coluna; na circunferência do segundo capitel havia duzentas romãs postas em duas ordens.
21 He erected the pil ars in front of the portico of the Temple, he erected the right-hand pil ar and named itJachin; he erected the left-hand pil ar and named it Boaz.	21 Pôs estas duas colunas no pórtico do templo; tendo levantado a coluna direita, deu-lhe o nome de Jaquim: levantou do mesmo modo a segunda coluna, e deu-lhe o nome de Booz.
22 Thus, the work on the pillars was completed.	22 Por cima das colunas pôs um lavor em forma de açucena, e, com isto, ficou concluída a obra das colunas.
23 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.	23 Fez também o mar de bronze de dez côvados (de diâmetro), duma borda à outra, redondo em toda a volta; a sua profundidade era de cinco côvados, e a sua circunferência media-se com um fio de trinta côvados.
24 Under its rim and completely encircling it were gourds surrounding the Sea; over a length of thirtycubits the gourds were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.	24 Por baixo da borda corria uma obra de talha por (cada) dez côvados, que rodeava o mar; as duas ordens destas obras de talha eram de fundição.
25 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.	25 E (o mar) estava assente sobre doze bois, três dos quais olhavam para o setentrião, três para o ocidente, três para o meio-dia, e três para o oriente. O mar estava em cima deles; as partes posteriores dos bois escondiam-se todas para o lado de dentro.
26 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, lily-shaped. It couldhold two thousand measures.	26 A grossura da bacia era de três polegadas; a sua borda era semelhante à borda dum copo, e à folha duma açucena aberta; levava dois mil batos.
27 He made the ten bronze stands; each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three high.	27 Fez também dez bases de bronze, cada uma das quais tinha quatro côvados de comprido, quatro côvados de largo, e três côvados de alto.
28 They were designed as fol ows; they had an undercarriage and crosspieces to the undercarriage.	28 O trabalho das bases era a cinzel, e havia esculturas entre as junturas.
29 On the crosspieces of the undercarriage were lions and bul s and winged creatures, and on top of theundercarriage was a support; under the lions and oxen there were scrolls in the style of. . .	29 Entre as coroas e festões havia leões, bois e querubins, assim como nas junturas da parte de cima; debaixo dos leões e dos bois, pendiam como que umas grinaldas.
30 Each stand had four bronze wheels with bronze axles; its four feet had shoulderings under the basin,and the shoulderings were cast. . .	30 Cada base tinha quatro rodas com seus eixos de bronze, e nos quatro cantos debaixo do lavatório havia uns suportes fundidos, um em frente do outro.
31 Its mouth measured one and a half cubits from where the shoulderings met to the top; its mouth wasround like a stand for a vessel, and on the mouth there were engravings too; the crosspieces, however, wererectangular and not round.	31 Havia também dentro, no alto da base, uma cavidade em que encaixava a bacia; o que se via por fora, era dum côvado, e tudo redondo, e tudo junto tinha côvado e meio; nos cantos das colunas havia várias esculturas; e os intercolúnios eram quadrados, e não redondos.
32 The four wheels were under the crosspieces. The axles of the wheels were inside the stands; theheight of the wheels was one and a half cubits.	32 As quatro rodas, que havia nos quatro cantos da base, correspondiam-se umas às outras por baixo da base; cada roda tinha côvado e meio de altura.
33 The wheels were designed like chariot wheels: their axles, felloes, spokes and naves had al been cast.	33 As rodas eram como as que costumam fazer-se para um carro; os seus eixos, raios, caibros e cubos, tudo era de fundição;
34 There were four shoulderings at the four corners of each stand: the stand and the shoulderings were alof a piece.	34 até os quatro suportes, que estavam nos quatro cantos de cada base, eram fundidos com a mesma base em um molde, e unidos com ela.
35 At the top of the stand there was a support, circular in shape and half a cubit high; and on top of thestand there were lugs. The crosspieces were of a piece with the stand.	35 No alto da base, porém, havia um círculo de meio côvado de altura, feito de tal modo, que se podia pôr em cima a bacia, e tinha os seus trabalhos em talha, com variedade de relevos, tudo de uma só peça.
36 On the bands he engraved winged creatures and lions and palm leaves. . . and scrol s right round.	36 Lavrou também nas superfícies, que eram de bronze, e nos cantos, querubins, leões e palmas, de acordo com o espaço livre, e grinaldas em volta.
37 He made the ten stands like this: the same casting and the same measurements for all.	37 Deste modo fez dez bases do mesmo molde, da mesma medida, de escultura semelhante.
38 He made ten bronze basins; each basin held forty measures and each basin measured four cubits, onebasin to each of the ten stands.	38 Fez também dez bacias de bronze, cada uma das quais continha quarenta batos, e era de quatro côvados; pôs cada bacia sobre cada uma das dez bases.
39 He arranged the stands, five on the right-hand side of the Temple, five on the left-hand side of theTemple; the Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south east.	39 Das dez bases, pôs cinco na parte direita do templo, e cinco na esquerda. 40 Hiram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. He finished all the work that hedid for King Solomon on the Temple of Yahweh:	40 Hirão fez também caldeirões, pás e taças, e concluiu toda a obra do rei Salomão no templo do Senhor:
41 Two pil ars; the two mouldings of the capitals surrounding the pil ars; the two sets of filigree to coverthe two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars;	41 as duas colunas, os dois capitéis das colunas, as duas redes e os dois cordões, que estavam sobre os capitéis das colunas;
42 the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of filigree -- two rows of pomegranates for each set offiligree;	42 quatrocentas romãs nas duas redes, duas ordens de romãs em cada rede, para cobrir os cordões dos capitéis, que estavam no alto das colunas;
43 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands;	43 as dez bases, e as dez bacias sobre as bases;
44 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath the Sea;	44 o mar e os doze bois por baixo do mar;

49 the lamp-stands, five on the right and five on the left in front of the Debir, of pure gold; the floral work,the lamps, the tongs, of gold;	49 os candeeiros de ouro, cinco à direita e cinco à esquerda, diante do santuário, (todos) de ouro fino, com flores de açucena, lâmpadas de ouro e espevitadores de ouro;
50 the basins, the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, the incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; the doorpanels -- for the inner shrine -- that is, the Holy of Holies -- and for the Hekal, of gold.	50 as bilhas para água, os garfos, os copos, os almofarizes e os turíbulos de ouro puríssimo; as couceiras das portas da casa interior do Santo dos Santos, e as das portas da casa do templo, eram também de ouro.
51 Thus al the work done by King Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomonbrought in the gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and the utensils putinto the treasuries of the Temple of Yahweh.	51 Salomão concluiu toda a obra que mandou fazer para a casa do Senhor. Depois meteu nela a prata, o ouro e os utensílios que seu pai Davide tinha consagrado e depositou-as no tesouro da casa do Senhor.
