1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,	2 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra della vostra dimora che io voglio darvi
3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,	3 e farete un sacrificio di fuoco al Signore, olocausto o sacrificio, per compiere un voto, o spontaneamente o nelle vostre feste, per fare odore gradevole al Signore, del grosso o piccolo bestiame,
4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,	4 chi presenterà, offrirà come suo dono al Signore un'offerta di un decimo di fior di farina intrisa in un quarto di hin di olio,

13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.	13 Ogni indigeno farà così quelle cose, quando offrirà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore.
14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.	14 Se uno straniero abiterà con voi o chi sarà in mezzo a voi per generazioni farà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore, farà come farete voi.
15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,	15 L'assemblea avrà una prescrizione unica per voi e per lo straniero che vi dimora, una prescrizione perenne per le vostre generazioni: come voi, così sarà lo straniero davanti al Signore.
16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."	16 Una legge unica e un'unica usanza avrete voi e lo straniero che dimora con voi".
17 The LORD said to Moses,	17 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you	18 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra dove io vi conduco,
19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution	19 e mangerete il pane della terra, farete un'offerta al Signore.
20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.	20 Come primizia della vostra pasta, eleverete secondo il rito una focaccia: la eleverete come si fa per l'elevazione dell'offerta dell'aia.
21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.	21 Darete le primizie della vostra pasta al Signore, in offerta per le vostre generazioni.
22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,	22 Se inavvertitamente non compirete tutti quei precetti che il Signore ha detto a Mosè,

31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."	31 perché ha disprezzato la parola del Signore e infranto il suo precetto. Quell'individuo sia eliminato: la sua colpa è in lui".
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.	32 Mentre i figli d'Israele erano nel deserto, trovarono un uomo che raccoglieva legna in giorno di sabato.
33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.	33 Quelli che lo trovarono a raccogliere legna lo presentarono a Mosè, ad Aronne e a tutta la comunità:
34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.	34 lo misero sotto sorveglianza, perché non era stabilito che cosa fargli.
35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."	35 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "L'uomo morirà: lo lapiderà tutta la comunità fuori dell'accampamento".
36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.	36 E tutta la comunità lo fece uscire fuori dell'accampamento, lo lapidarono e morì, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
37 The LORD said to Moses,	37 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:
38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.	38 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro che si facciano delle frange alle estremità dei loro vestiti nelle loro generazioni e mettano alle frange dell'estremità un filo di porpora.
39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.	39 Sarà la vostra frangia: la vedrete e vi ricorderete di tutti i precetti del Signore: li compirete, senza vagare dietro ai vostri cuori e ai vostri occhi, seguendo i quali vi prostituite.
40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.	40 Così vi ricorderete e praticherete tutti i miei precetti, e sarete santi per il vostro Dio.
41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."	41 Io sono il Signore, vostro Dio, che vi ho fatto uscire dalla terra d'Egitto per essere il vostro Dio. Io, il Signore, sono il vostro Dio".
