1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 - Il Signore parlò a Mosè, e gli disse:
2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,	2 «Parla ai figli d'Israele, e di' loro: - Quando sarete entrati nella terra della vostra abitazione, che io vi darò,
3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,	3 e farete al Signore oblazione d'olocausto o di vittima, o per adempimento d'un voto o per spontanea offerta in dono, o quando nelle vostre solennità brucerete in odore soave al Signore bovi o pecore;
4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,	4 allora, chiunque immolerà una vittima offrirà in sacrificio la decima parte d'un efi di fior di farina, intrisa con olio della misura d'un quarto di hin;
5 as well as a libation of a fourth of a hin of wine, with each lamb sacrificed in holocaust or otherwise.	5 e per far libazione darà un'egual misura di vino; questo, per ogni agnello [immolato] come olocausto o come ostia [pacifica].
6 With each sacrifice of a ram you shall present a cereal offering of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,	6 Per gli arieti, il sacrifizio sarà di due decimi di fior di farina, intrisa con un terzo di hin d'olio;
7 and a libation of a third of a hin of wine, thus making a sweet-smelling offering to the LORD.	7 per libazione offrirà in odore soave al Signore un terzo della medesima misura di vino.
8 When you sacrifice an ox as a holocaust, or in fulfillment of a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,	8 Quando poi farai olocausto od ostia di bovi per adempimento d'un voto oppure per vittima pacifica,
9 with it you shall present a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil,	9 darai per ogni bove tre decimi di fior di farina intrisa con olio della misura di un mezzo hin;
10 and a libation of half a hin of wine, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.	10 e per libazione da spandersi, come oblazione d'odore gratissimo al Signore, un'eguale quantità di vino.
11 The same is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb or goat.	11 Così farai
12 Whatever the number you offer, do the same for each of them.	12 per ogni bove, ariete, agnello e capro.
13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.	13 Tanto gl'indigeni quanto i forestieri
14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.	14 offriranno i sacrifizi con le stesse regole.
15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,	15 Una sola è la legge e l'ordinanza, tanto per voi quanto per i forestieri -».
16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."	16 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
17 The LORD said to Moses,	17 «Parla ai figli di Israele, e di' loro:
18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you	18 - Quando sarete giunti nella terra ch'io vi darò,
19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution	19 e mangerete il pane di quella regione, metterete da parte per il Signore le primizie
20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.	20 de' vostri cibi. Come voi separate per il Signore le primizie dell'aia,
21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.	21 così anche gli darete le primizie degli alimenti.
22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,	22 Che se per ignoranza tralascerete qualcosa di ciò che il Signore ha detto a Mosè,
23 and through Moses to you, from the time the LORD first issues the commandment down through your generations:	23 e v'ha comandato per mezzo di lui, dal giorno nel quale cominciò a comandarvi in poi,
24 if the community itself unwittingly becomes guilty of the fault of inadvertence, the whole community shall offer the holocaust of one young bull as a sweet-smelling oblation pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed cereal offering and libation, as well as one he-goat as a sin offering.	24 se tutta la moltitudine dimenticò di farlo, offrirà un vitello dell'armento per olocausto di odore gratissimo al Signore, col suo sacrifizio [di fior di farina] e la libazione, come le regole prescrivono, ed un capro per il peccato.
25 Then the priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community; thus they will be forgiven the inadvertence for which they have brought their holocaust as an oblation to the LORD.	25 Il sacerdote pregherà per tutta la moltitudine dei figli d'Israele, e sarà loro perdonato, perchè [sebbene] non peccarono scientemente, nondimeno hanno bruciato un'offerta al Signore per sè e per il proprio peccato ed errore.
26 Not only the whole Israelite community, but also the aliens residing among you, shall be forgiven, since the fault of inadvertence affects all the people.	26 Sarà perdonato a tutta la turba de' figliuoli di Israele, ed a' forestieri che si trovano pellegrini fra loro, perchè fu colpa di tutto il popolo per ignoranza.
27 "However, if it is an individual who sins inadvertently, he shall bring a yearling she-goat as a sin offering,	27 Che se fu un solo a peccare per ignoranza, offrirà per il suo peccato una capra d'un anno,
28 and the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for him who sinned inadvertently; when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.	28 ed il sacerdote pregherà per lui, poichè senza saperlo peccò dinanzi al Signore; gli impetrerà il perdono, e gli sarà perdonato.
29 You shall have but one law for him who sins inadvertently, whether he be a native Israelite or an alien residing with you.	29 Tanto per gl'indigeni quanto pei forestieri, è una sola la legge per quelli che avranno peccato per ignoranza.
30 "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether he be a native or an alien, insults the LORD, and shall be cut off from among his people.	30 Quegli poi, il quale avrà commesso qualche male per superbia, sia egli cittadino o forestiero, essendo stato ribelle verso il Signore, sarà radiato di fra il suo popolo;
31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."	31 egli ha disprezzato la parola del Signore e reso vano il suo comandamento; perciò [il nome suo] sarà cancellato e pagherà la pena della sua iniquità -».
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.	32 Ora avvenne che, essendo i figli d'Israele nel deserto trovarono un uomo il quale raccoglieva le legna in giorno di sabato.
33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.	33 Lo condussero a Mosè ed Aronne, e a tutta l'assemblea,
34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.	34 che lo tennero prigioniero, non sapendo che cosa dovessero farne.
35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."	35 Ed il Signore disse a Mosè: «Sia messo a morte quell'uomo; il popolo lo lapidi, fuori del campo».
36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.	36 Perciò, condottolo fuori, lo lapidarono, e morì, come aveva comandato il Signore.
37 The LORD said to Moses,	37 Disse ancora il Signore a Mosè:
38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.	38 «Parla a' figli d'Israele, e di' loro che si facciano delle frange per gli angoli de' loro mantelli, aggiungendovi dei nastri di color giacinto;
39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.	39 acciò, vedendole, si ricordino di tutt'i comandamenti del Signore, e non vadan dietro a' propri pensieri ed a' propri occhi, fornicando in più modi;
40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.	40 ma invece, memori dei comandamenti del Signore, li eseguiscano, e siano santi al cospetto del loro Dio.
41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."	41 Io il Signore Dio vostro, che v'ho condotti via dall'Egitto, per essere il vostro Dio».
