Psalms 62

1 For the leader; al Jeduthun. A psalm of David.	1 Ao mestre de canto. Segundo Iditum. Salmo de Davi. Só em Deus repousa minha alma, só dele me vem a salvação.
2 My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation.	2 Só ele é meu rochedo, minha salvação; minha fortaleza: jamais vacilarei.
3 God alone is my rock and salvation, my secure height; I shall never fall.	3 Até quando, juntos, atacareis o próximo para derribá-lo como a uma parede já inclinada, como a um muro que se fendeu?
4 How long will you set upon people, all of you beating them down, As though they were a sagging fence or a battered wall?	4 Sim, de meu excelso lugar pretendem derrubar-me; eles se comprazem na mentira. Enquanto me bendizem com os lábios, amaldiçoam-me no coração.
5 Even from my place on high they plot to dislodge me. They delight in lies; they bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah	5 Só em Deus repousa a minha alma, é dele que me vem o que eu espero.
6 My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.	6 Só ele é meu rochedo e minha salvação; minha fortaleza: jamais vacilarei.
7 God alone is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not fall.	7 Só em Deus encontrarei glória e salvação. Ele é meu rochedo protetor, meu refúgio está nele.
8 My safety and glory are with God, my strong rock and refuge.	8 Ó povo, confia nele de uma vez por todas; expandi, em sua presença, os vossos corações. Nosso refúgio está em Deus.
9 Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge! Selah	9 Os homens não passam de um sopro, e de uma mentira os filhos dos homens. Eles sobem na concha da balança, pois todos juntos são mais leves que o vento.
10 Mortals are a mere breath, the powerful but an illusion; On a balance they rise; together they are lighter than air.	10 Não confieis na violência, nem espereis vãmente no roubo; crescendo vossas riquezas, não prendais nelas os vossos corações.
11 Do not trust in extortion; in plunder put no empty hope. Though wealth increase, do not set your heart upon it.	11 Numa só palavra de Deus compreendi duas coisas: a Deus pertence o poder,
12 One thing God has said; two things I have heard: Power belongs to God;	12 ao Senhor pertence a bondade. Pois vós dais a cada um segundo suas obras.
13 3) so too, Lord, does kindness, And you render to each of us according to our deeds.
