1 For the leader. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains!	1 Ao mestre de canto. De Davi. É junto do Senhor que procuro refúgio. Por que dizer-me: Foge, velozmente, para a montanha, como um pássaro;
2 See how the wicked string their bows, fit their arrows to the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright.	2 eis que os maus entesam seu arco, ajustam a flecha na corda, para ferir, de noite, os que têm o coração reto.
3 When foundations are being destroyed, what can the upright do?"	3 Quando os próprios fundamentos se abalam, que pode fazer ainda o justo?
4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD'S throne is in heaven. God's eyes keep careful watch; they test all peoples.	4 Entretanto, o Senhor habita em seu templo, o Senhor tem seu trono no céu. Sua vista está atenta, seus olhares observam os filhos dos homens.
5 The LORD tests the good and the bad, hates those who love violence,	5 O Senhor sonda o justo como o ímpio, mas aquele que ama a injustiça, ele o aborrece.
6 And rains upon the wicked fiery coals and brimstone, a scorching wind their allotted cup.	6 Sobre os ímpios ele fará cair uma chuva de fogo e de enxofre; um vento abrasador de procela será o seu quinhão.
7 The LORD is just and loves just deeds; the upright shall see his face.	7 Porque o Senhor é justo, ele ama a justiça; e os homens retos contemplarão a sua face.
