1 E parlò il Signore a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza il primo dìdel secondo mese, il secondo anno dell'uscita loro dall'Egitto, e disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the covenant, on the first day of the second month, in the year after their departure from Egypt, saying:
2 Fate il novero di tutti quanti i maschi di tutta la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israelesecondo le stirpi, e le case, e i nomi di ciascheduno:	2 “Take a total of the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, by their families and houses, and the names of each one, of whomever is of the male sex,
3 Tu e Aronne farete la rassegna di tutti gli uomini forti d'Israele da' venti anni in su,divisi nelle loro schiere.	3 from twenty years and above, of all the able-bodied men out of Israel, and you shall number them by their companies, you and Aaron.
4 E saranno con voi i principi delle tribù, e delle famiglie secondo la loro agnazione.	4 And there shall be with you the leaders of the tribes, as well as of the houses, in their kinships,
5 I nomi di questi sono: della tribù di Ruben Elisur, figliuolo di Sedeur:	5 the names of whom are these: of Ruben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
6 Della tribù di Simeon Salamiel, figliuolo di Surisaddai:	6 of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;
7 Della tribù di Giuda Nahasson, figliuolo di Aminadab:	7 of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;
8 D'Issachar Nathanael, figliuolo di Suar:	8 of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Zuar;
9 Di Zabulon Eliab, figliuolo di Helon:	9 of Zebulon, Eliab the son of Helon.
10 De' figliuoli di Giuseppe della tribù di Ephraim era principe Elisama, figliuolo di Ammiud:di quella di Manasse Gamaliele, figliuolo di Phadassur:	10 And from the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;
11 Di Beniamin Abidan, figliuolo di Gedeone:	11 of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;
12 Di Dan Ahiezer, figliuolo di Amisaddai:	12 of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;
13 Di Aser Phegiel, figliuolo di Ochram:	13 of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran;
14 Di Gad Eliasaph, figliuolo di Duel:	14 of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Reuel;
15 Di Nephtali Ahira, figliuolo di Enan.	15 of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.”
16 Questi i nobilissimi principi della nazione secondo le loro tribù, e famiglie, e capidell'esercito d'Israele:	16 These are the very noble leaders of the multitude, by their tribes and kinships, and the heads of the army of Israel.
17 I quali furon descritti da Mosè ed Aronne, e tutta la moltitudine del popolo	17 Moses and Aaron took these, with all the multitude of the common people,
18 Fu ragunata da essi il primo dì del secondo mese, e ne fecero il novero secondo la lorogenealogia, e secondo la famiglia, e la casa, testa per testa, col proprio nome diciascheduno dall'età di vent'anni in poi,	18 and they gathered them together on the first day of the second month, taking a census of them by kinships, and houses, and families, and heads, and the names of each one from twenty years and above,
19 Come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè. E fu fatto il novero nel deserto del Sinai.	19 just as the Lord had instructed Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.
20 Della tribù di Ruben primogenito d'Israele tutti i maschi da' vent'anni in su atti allaguerra secondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa, testa per testa, (furon contati)	20 Of Ruben, the firstborn of Israel, by their generations and families and houses, and the names of each head, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
21 Quaranta sei mila cinquecento.	21 there were forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 De' discendenti di Simeon tutti maschi da' venti anni in su atti alla guerra secondo la lorogenealogia, e famiglia, e casa, testa per testa, co' nomi loro furon contati	22 Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names and heads of each one, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
23 Cinquanta nove mila trecento.	23 there were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 De' discendenti di Gad tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra secondo la loro genealogia, efamiglia, e casa col proprio nome di ciascheduno, furon contati dai venti anni in su,	24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
25 Quarantacinque mila secento cinquanta.	25 there were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
26 De' discendenti di Giuda tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra, da' venti anni in susecondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa co' nomi di ciascheduno,	26 Of the sons of Judah, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
27 Furon contati settanta quattro mila secento.	27 there were counted seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 De' discendenti d'Issachar tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra da' vent'anni in susecondo la genealogia, e famiglia, e casa loro co' nomi di ciascheduno,	28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
29 Furon contati cinquanta quattro mila quattrocento.	29 there were counted fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 De' discendenti di Zabulon tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra, da' vent'anni in susecondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa, co' nomi di ciascheduno, furon contati	30 Of the sons of Zebulon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
31 Cinquanta sette mila quattrocento.	31 there were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
32 De' discendenti di Giuseppe, quanto a tutti i figliuoli di Ephraim, da venti anni in su attialla guerra secondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa, co' nomi di ciascheduno furoncontati	32 From the sons of Joseph, of the sons of Ephraim, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,

34 De' figliuoli poi di Manasse tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra, da' venti anni in susecondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa, col proprio nome di ciascheduno, furoncontati	34 Furthermore, of the sons of Manasseh, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
35 Trenta due mila dugento.	35 there were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
36 De' discendenti di Beniamin tutti quelli ch'erano atti alla guerra, da' venti anni in susecondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa, co' proprii nomi di ciascheduno, furonocontati	36 Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
37 Trentacinque mila quattrocento.	37 there were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
38 De' discendenti di Dan tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra, da' venti anni in su secondola loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa col proprio nome di ciascheduno, furon contati,	38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
39 Sessanta due mila settecento.	39 there were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 De' discendenti di Aser tutti quelli che erano atti alle armi, da' vent'anni in su secondola loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa col proprio nome di ciascheduno, furon contati	40 Of the sons of Asher, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
41 Quarantun mila cinquecento.	41 there were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.
42 De' discendenti di Nephtali tutti quelli che erano atti alla guerra, da' vent'anni in susecondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa col proprio nome di ciascheduno, furoncontati	42 Of the sons of Naphtali, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
43 Cinquanta tre mila quattrocento.	43 there were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 Questi sono quelli che furon contati da Mosè e da Aronne, e da' dodici principi d'Israele,ciascuno secondo la propria casa e famiglia.	44 These are the ones who were numbered by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one by the houses of their kinships.
45 E tutto il numero de' figliuoli d'Israele da' vent'anni in su atti alla guerra noveratisecondo le loro case, e famiglie fu	45 And the entire number of the sons of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years and above, who were able to go forth to war, were
46 Secento tre mila cinquecento cinquanta uomini.	46 six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.
47 Ma i Leviti non furono contati con questi nelle famiglie della loro tribù.	47 But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.
48 Perché il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
49 Non registrare la tribù di Levi, e non la mettere in conto co' figliuoli d'Israele:	49 “Do not number the tribe of Levi, neither shall you take a total of them with the sons of Israel.
50 Ma da' ad essi la soprintendenza del tabernacolo del testimonio, e di tutti i suoi vasi, edi tutto quello che spetta alle cerimonie. Ei porteranno il tabernacolo, e tutte le cose,che servono ad uso di esso, e saranno occupati nel ministero, e avranno il loro accampamentoall'intorno del tabernacolo.	50 But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all its vessels, and whatever pertains to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles. And they shall be for the ministry, and they shall encamp all around the tabernacle.
51 Quando dovrà farsi viaggio, i Leviti disfaranno il tabernacolo: quando dovrà posarsi ilcampo, essi lo erigeranno. Se alcuno fuori di essi vi si accosterà, sarà ucciso.	51 When you would depart, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle. When you are to make camp, they shall set it up. Any outsider who will approach it shall be killed.
52 E i figliuoli d'Israele pianteranno il loro campo divisi nelle loro squadre, e compagnie, eordinanze.	52 Now the sons of Israel shall make camp, each one by his companies and bands, as well as his army.
53 Ma i Leviti pianteranno le loro tende all'intorno del tabernacolo, affinché io non abbia amandar l'ira mia sopra la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israele, ed essi veglieranno a guardiadel tabernacolo del testimonio.	53 Moreover, the Levites shall fix their tents all around the tabernacle, lest there be an indignation over the multitude of the sons of Israel. And they shall stand watch as guardians over the tabernacle of the testimony.”
54 Fecero adunque i figliuoli d'Israele tutto quello che il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	54 Therefore, the sons of Israel acted according to everything that the Lord had instructed Moses.
