1 Za slobodu nas Krist oslobodi! Držite se dakle i ne dajte se ponovno u jaram ropstva!	1 Christ set us free, so that we should remain free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be fastenedagain to the yoke of slavery.
2 Evo ja, Pavao, velim vam: ako se obrežete, Krist vam ništa neće koristiti.	2 I, Paul, give you my word that if you accept circumcision, Christ wil be of no benefit to you at al .
3 I ponovno jamčim svakom čovjeku koji se obreže: dužan je opsluživati sav Zakon.	3 I give my assurance once again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is under obligation tokeep the whole Law;
4 Prekinuli ste s Kristom vi koji se u Zakonu mislite opravdati; iz milosti ste ispali.	4 once you seek to be reckoned as upright through the Law, then you have separated yourself fromChrist, you have fal en away from grace.
5 Jer mi po Duhu iz vjere očekujemo pravednost, nadu svoju.	5 We are led by the Spirit to wait in the confident hope of saving justice through faith,
6 Uistinu, u Kristu Isusu ništa ne vrijedi ni obrezanje ni neobrezanje, nego – vjera ljubavlju djelotvorna.	6 since in Christ Jesus it is not being circumcised or being uncircumcised that can effect anything -- onlyfaith working through love.
7 Dobro ste trčali; tko li vas je samo spriječio da se više ne pokoravate istini?	7 You began your race wel ; who came to obstruct you and stop you obeying the truth?
8 Ta pobuda nije od Onoga koji vas zove!	8 It was certainly not any prompting from him who called you!
9 Malo kvasca cijelo tijesto ukvasa.	9 A pinch of yeast ferments the whole batch.
10 Ja se uzdam u vas u Gospodinu: vi nećete drukčije misliti. A tko vas zbunjuje, snosit će osudu, tko god bio.	10 But I feel sure that, united in the Lord, you wil not be led astray, and that anyone who makes troublewith you will be condemned, no matter who he is.
11 A ja, braćo, ako sveudilj propovijedam obrezanje, zašto me sveudilj progone? Onda je obeskrijepljena sablazan križa!	11 And I, brothers -- if I were stil preaching circumcision, why should I still be persecuted? For then theobstacle which is the cross would have no point any more.
12 Uškopili se oni koji vas podbunjuju!	12 I could wish that those who are unsettling you would go further and mutilate themselves.
13 SDoista vi ste, braćo, na slobodu pozvani! Samo neka ta sloboda ne bude izlikom tijelu, nego – ljubavlju služite jedni drugima.	13 After al , brothers, you were called to be free; do not use your freedom as an opening for self-indulgence, but be servants to one another in love,
14 Ta sav je Zakon ispunjen u jednoj jedinoj riječi, u ovoj: Ljubi bližnjega svoga kao sebe samoga!	14 since the whole of the Law is summarised in the one commandment: You must love your neighbour asyourself.
15 Ako li pak jedni druge grizete i glođete, pazite da jedni druge ne proždrete.	15 If you go snapping at one another and tearing one another to pieces, take care: you will be eaten up byone another.
16 Hoću reći: po Duhu živite pa nećete ugađati požudi tijela!	16 Instead, I tel you, be guided by the Spirit, and you wil no longer yield to self-indulgence.
17 Jer tijelo žudi protiv Duha, a Duh protiv tijela. Doista, to se jedno drugomu protivi da ne činite što hoćete.	17 The desires of self-indulgence are always in opposition to the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are inopposition to self-indulgence: they are opposites, one against the other; that is how you are prevented fromdoing the things that you want to.
18 Ali ako vas Duh vodi, niste pod Zakonom.	18 But when you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
19 A očita su djela tijela. To su: bludnost, nečistoća, razvratnost,	19 When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: sexual vice, impurity, and sensuality,
20 idolopoklonstvo, vračanje, neprijateljstva, svađa, ljubomor, srdžbe, spletkarenja, razdori, strančarenja,	20 the worship of false gods and sorcery; antagonisms and rivalry, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels,disagreements,
21 zavisti, pijančevanja, pijanke i tome slično. Unaprijed vam kažem, kao što vam već rekoh: koji takvo što čine, kraljevstva Božjega neće baštiniti.	21 factions and malice, drunkenness, orgies and al such things. And about these, I tel you now as I havetold you in the past, that people who behave in these ways wil not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 Plod je pak Duha: ljubav, radost, mir, velikodušnost, uslužnost, dobrota, vjernost,	22 On the other hand the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness,
23 blagost, uzdržljivost. Protiv tih nema zakona.	23 gentleness and self-control; no law can touch such things as these.
24 Koji su Kristovi, razapeše tijelo sa strastima i požudama.	24 All who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified self with al its passions and its desires.
25 Ako živimo po Duhu, po Duhu se i ravnajmo!	25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let our behaviour be guided by the Spirit
26 Ne hlepimo za taštom slavom! Ne izazivajmo jedni druge, ne zaviđajmo jedni drugima!	26 and let us not be conceited or provocative and envious of one another.
