1 Canto de peregrinación. De David. ¡Qué alegría cuando me dijeron: «Vamos a la Casa del Señor»!	1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
2 Nuestros pies ya están pisando tus umbrales, Jerusalén.	2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalén, que fuiste construida como ciudad bien compacta y armoniosa.	3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.
4 Allí suben las tribus, las tribus del Señor –según es norma en Israel– para celebrar el nombre del Señor.	4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5 Porque allí está el trono de la justicia, el trono de la casa de David.	5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Auguren la paz a Jerusalén: «¡Vivan seguros los que te aman!	6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!
7 ¡Haya paz en tus muros y seguridad en tus palacios!».	7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."
8 Por amor a mis hermanos y amigos, diré: «La paz esté contigo».	8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."
9 Por amor a la Casa del Señor, nuestro Dios, buscaré tu felicidad.	9 For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."
