| 1 E ouvi uma grande voz (que saía) do templo, a qual dizia aos sete anjos: "Ide e derramai sobre a terra as sete taças da ira de Deus." | 1 I heard a loud voice speaking from the temple to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of God's fury upon the earth." |
| 2 E foi o primeiro e derramou a sua taça sobre a terra, e formou-se uma úlcera cruel e maligna nos homens que tinham o sinal da Besta e se prostravam diante da sua estátua. | 2 The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth. Festering and ugly sores broke out on those who had the mark of the beast or worshiped its image. |
| 3 O segundo (anjo) derramou a sua taça sobre o mar, que se tornou em sangue, como de um corpo morto, e morreu todo o ser vivo, que existia no mar, | 3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea. The sea turned to blood like that from a corpse; every creature living in the sea died. |
| 4 O terceiro (anjo) derramou a sua taça sobre os rios e sobre as fontes das águas, que se converteram em sangue. | 4 The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water. These also turned to blood. |
| 5 E ouvi o anjo das águas, que dizia: "Justo és, Senhor, que és e que eras, tu, o Santo, porque executaste estes juízos! | 5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: "You are just, O Holy One, who are and who were, in passing this sentence. |
| 6 Porque eles derramaram o sangue dos santos e dos profetas, lhes deste também a beber sangue, pois assim o merecem." | 6 For they have shed the blood of the holy ones and the prophets, and you (have) given them blood to drink; it is what they deserve." |
| 7 E ouvi o altar que dizia: "Sim, Senhor Deus omnipotente, são verdadeiros e justos os teus juízos." | 7 Then I heard the altar cry out, "Yes, Lord God almighty, your judgments are true and just." |
| 8 O quarto (anjo) derramou a sua taça sobre o sol, e foi-lhe dado (poder de) queimar os homens pelo fogo. | 8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun. It was given the power to burn people with fire. |
| 9 Os homens foram atingidos com queimaduras grandes e blasfemaram do nome de Deus, que tem poder sobre estas pragas, e não se arrependeram para lhe darem glória. | 9 People were burned by the scorching heat and blasphemed the name of God who had power over these plagues, but they did not repent or give him glory. |
| 10 O quinto(anjo) derramou a sua taça sobre o trono da Besta: o reino dela tornou-se tenebroso, e (os homens) mordiam a língua com a veemência da dor, | 10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast. Its kingdom was plunged into darkness, and people bit their tongues in pain |
| 11 e blasfemaram do Deus do céu por causa das suas dores e das suas úlceras, e não se arrependeram das suas obras. | 11 and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores. But they did not repent of their works. |
| 12 O sexto (anjo) derramou a sua taça sobre o grande rio Eufrates, e secaram-se as suas águas, a fim de se abrir caminho aos reis do Oriente. | 12 The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great river Euphrates. Its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East. |
| 13 Vi sair da boca do Dragão, da boca da Besta e da boca do falso profeta, três espíritos imundos semelhantes a rãs, | 13 I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come from the mouth of the dragon, from the mouth of the beast, and from the mouth of the false prophet. |
| 14 que são espíritos de demônios, que fazem prodígios, e que vão aos reis de toda a terra, a fim de os juntar para a batalha do grande dia do Deus omnipotente. | 14 These were demonic spirits who performed signs. They went out to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle on the great day of God the almighty. |
| 15 Eis que venho como um ladrão (diz o Senhor)! Bem-aventurado aquele que vigia e guarda os seus vestidos (da graça e da fé), para que não ande nu e não deixe ver a sua vergonha! | 15 ("Behold, I am coming like a thief." Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his clothes ready, so that he may not go naked and people see him exposed.) |
| 16 Eles os juntaram num lugar que, em hebraico, se chama Harmagedon. | 16 They then assembled the kings in the place that is named Armageddon in Hebrew. |
| 17 O sétimo (anjo) derramou a sua taça pelo ar, e saiu uma grande voz do templo, (vinda) do trono, que dizia; "Está feito" | 17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, "It is done." |
| 18 E seguiram-se relâmpagos, vozes e trovões; depois houve um grande terramoto, tão grande que nunca houve outro igual desde que existem homens sobre a terra. | 18 Then there were lightning flashes, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and a great earthquake. It was such a violent earthquake that there has never been one like it since the human race began on earth. |
| 19 E a grande cidade foi dividida em três partes, e as cidades das nações caíram. Babilônia, a grande, foi recordada por Deus, para lhe dar a beber o cálice do vinho da indignação da sua ira. | 19 The great city was split into three parts, and the gentile cities fell. But God remembered great Babylon, giving it the cup filled with the wine of his fury and wrath. |
| 20 Todas as ilhas fugiram e as montanhas não foram achadas. | 20 Every island fled, and mountains disappeared. |
| 21 E caiu do céu sobre os homens uma grande descarga de saraiva, do peso de um talento; e os homens blasfemaram de Deus, por causa da praga da saraiva, porque a praga desta saraiva é extremamente grande. | 21 Large hailstones like huge weights came down from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God for the plague of hail because this plague was so severe. |
