| 1 Tu. filho de homem, profetiza acerca dos montes de Israel. Dize-lhes: Montes de Israel, ouvi a palavra do Senhor: | 1 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD: |
| 2 Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Porque o inimigo disse de vós: Bem feito! Estas alturas eternas (de Israel) foram-nos dadas como herança! | 2 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: |
| 3 por isso profetiza o seguinte: Assim faia o Senhor Deus: Porque tendes sido desolados e pisados aos pés, por todas as partes, e vos tornastes propriedade das outras nações, e andastes na boca de todos, feitos o escárnio da plebe, | 3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: |
| 4 por causa disto, ouvi, montes de Israel, a palavra do Senhor Deus; Isto diz o Senhor Deus às montanhas e aos outeiros, às torrentes, aos vales, às ruínas desertas e às cidades abandonadas que foram entregues à pilhagem e insultadas pelos outros povos das cercanias. | 4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; |
| 5 Assim fala, pois, o Senhor Deus: Sim, foi no ardor do meu zelo que falei contra as outras nações e contra toda a Idumeia, as quais se apropriaram da minha terra, com gozo do coração e profundo desprezo, para a despovoar e saquear: | 5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. |
| 6 portanto profetiza sobre a terra de Israel, dize às montanhas e aos outeiros, às ribeiras e aos vales: Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Eis que falei no meu zelo e no meu furor, pelo motivo de terdes sofrido os insultos das nações. | 6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: |
| 7 Por isso, isto diz o Senhor Deus: Levantei a minha mão. (jurando) que as nações que estão em torno de vós, essas mesmas hão-de carregar sobre si os próprios insultos. | 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. |
| 8 E vós, montes de Israel, lançareis os vossos ramos e dareis o vosso fruto ao meu povo de Israel, porque está para voltar (do cativeiro). | 8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. |
| 9 Eis que venho a vós, me volto para vós: (de novo) sereis lavrados e recebereis a semente. | 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: |
| 10 Multiplicarei em vós os homens, toda a casa de Israel; as cidades serão habitadas, e os lugares arruinados serão reconstruídos. | 10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: |
| 11 Multiplicarei em vós homens e animais; eles serão numerosos e fecundos; farei que sejais habitados como dantes, dar-vos-ei bens ainda maiores que os que tivestes no princípio, e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor. | 11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 12 Sobre vós farei vir homens, (que constituam) o meu povo de Israel, e eles vos possuirão como sua herança; sereis a sua herança e não os privareis mais dos seus filhos. | 12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men. |
| 13 Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Já que dizem de vos que sois uma terra que devora homens e que mata os seus filhos. | 13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations; |
| 14 por isso (ó Israel) tu não devorarás mais homens nem matarás mais teus filhos, diz o Senhor Deus. | 14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 15 Farei que se não ouçam mais em ti os insultos das nações, e não levarás mais sobre ti o opróbrio dos povos, nem perderás mais a tua gente, diz o Senhor Deus, | 15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 16 Foi-me dirigida a palavra do Senhor, nestes termos: | 16 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
| 17 Filho de homem, os da casa de Israel habitaram na sua terra e contaminaram-na com o seu proceder, com as suas obras; o seu proceder tornou-se diante de mim como a imundície da mulher menstruada. | 17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. |
| 18 Então derramei a minha indignação sobre eles, por causa do sangue que derramaram sobre a terra, e dos ídolos com que a contaminaram. | 18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: |
| 19 Dispersei-os entre as nações e foram disseminados por várias terras; julguei-os segundo o seu proceder, segundo as suas obras. | 19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. |
| 20 Tendo chegado às nações para onde foram (dispersos), desonraram o meu santo nome, pois que se dizia deles: Este é o povo do Senhor, estes são os que saíram da sua terra. | 20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. |
| 21 E eu perdoei-lhes por amor do meu santo nome, o qual a casa de Israel profanou entre as nações, para onde tinha ido. | 21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. |
| 22 Por isso dirás à casa de Israel: Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Não é por amor de vós, casa de Israel, que procedo desta forma, mas por atenção ao meu santo nome, que vós profanastes entre as nações, para onde fostes. Santificarei o meu grande nome, que foi profanado entre as nações, o qual vós desonrastes no meio delas, a fim de que as nações saibam que eu sou o Senhor, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, quando mostrar a minha santidade, a seus olhos, no meio de vós. | 22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. |
| 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. |
| 24 Tirar-vos-ei dentre as nações, congregar-vos-ei de todos os países e conduzir-vos-ei para a vossa terra. | 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. |
| 25 Derramarei sobre vós uma água pura, e sereis purificados de todas as vossas imundícies; purificar-vos-ei de todos os vossos ídolos. | 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. |
| 26 Dar-vos-ei um coração novo e porei um novo espírito no meio de vós; tirarei da vossa carne o coração de pedra e dar-vos-el um coração de carne. | 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. |
| 27 Porei em vós o meu espírito e farei que andeis nos meus preceitos, que guardeis as minhas leis e as pratiqueis. | 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. |
| 28 Habitareis na terra que dei a vossos pais; sereis o meu povo e eu serei o vosso Deus. | 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. |
| 29 Purificar-vos-ei de todas as vossas imundícies; farei vir o trigo e multiplicá-lo-ei, e não trarei mais a fome sobre vós. | 29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. |
| 30 Multiplicarei o fruto das árvores e as produções dos campos, para que não tragais mais sobre vós o opróbrio da fome, entre as nações. | 30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. |
| 31 Então vos recordareis dos vossos maus caminhos e das vossas obras depravadas, e as vossas iniquidades e os vossos crimes vos desagradarão. | 31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. |
| 32 Não é por amor de vós que faço isto, diz o Senhor Deus; sabei-o. Confundi-vos e envergonhai-vos do vosso proceder, casa de Israel, | 32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. |
| 33 Isto diz o Senhor Deus: No dia em que vos purificar de todas as vossas Iniquidades, farei repovoar as vossas cidades e restabelecer os lugares arruinados, | 33 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. |
| 34 A terra inculta, até aí desolada aos olhos do viandante, será cultivada. | 34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. |
| 35 Dlr-se-á: Esta terra que estava devastada, tornou-se como um jardim de Eden, e as cidades que estavam arruinadas, desertas e subvertidas, são já praças fortes habitadas. | 35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. |
| 36 E todas as nações que tiverem ficado à roda de vós saberão que eu, o Senhor, restaurei os lugares arruinados e cultivei os incultos. Eu o Senhor, o disse e o executarei. | 36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. |
| 37 Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Ainda nisto me acharão favorável os da casa de Israel, far-lhes-ei esta mercê; Multiplicá-los-ei como um rebanho de homens, | 37 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. |
| 38 como um rebanho santo, como o rebanho de Jerusalém nas suas festas; assim é que as cidades arruinadas serão cheias dum rebanho de homens. E saber-se-á que eu sou o Senhor. | 38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
