| 2 Filho de homem, volta o teu rosto contra os filhos de Amon e profetiza contra eles. | 2 "Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them. |
| 3 Dirás aos filhos de, Amon: Ouvi a palavra do ;Senhor Deus: Isto diz o Senhor Deus: Porque disseste: É bem feito, é bem feito! sobre o meu santuário, por ter sido profanado, e sobre a terra de Israel, porque foi desolada, e sobre a casa de Judá, porque foi levada para o cativeiro, | 3 Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, 'Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile; |
| 4 por isso eu te entregarei como herança aos filhos do oriente, que estabelecerão em ti os seus acampamentos e levantarão as suas tendas, comerão os teus frutos e beberão o teu leite. | 4 therefore I am handing you over to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk. |
| 5 Reduzirei Rabat a pastagem de camelos, e (o país) dos filhos de Amon a redil de ovelhas. Assim sabereis que eu sou o Senhor. | 5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD. |
| 6 Isto diz o Senhor Deus; Porque bateste palmas e saltaste de gozo, porque sentiste uma alegria desdenhosa pela (infelicidade da) terra de Israel, | 6 For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all the malice within you against the land of Israel, |
| 7 eis que vou estender sobre ti a minha mão, entregar-te ao saque das gentes, apagar-te do número dos povos, exterminar-te de entre as terras, aniquilar-te. Assim saberás que eu sou o Senhor. | 7 therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD. |
| 8 Isto diz O Senhor Deus; Porque Moab e Seir disseram: A casa de Judá é como todas as outras nações (nenhum privilégio tem) | 8 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations, |
| 9 por isso eis que vou abrir o flanco de Moab, tirando-lhe as cidades, todas as suas cidades, desde as fronteiras, as mais formosas do pais, Betiesimot, Beelmeon e Cariataim. | 9 therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim. |
| 10 Darei a posse disso, assim como da terra dos Amonitas, aos filhos do oriente, a fim de que não haja mais memória dos filhos de Amon entre as nações. | 10 I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it may be remembered no more among the nations, |
| 11 Sobre Moab exercerei assim os meus juízos, e eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor. | 11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD. |
| 12 Isto diz o Senhor Deus: Porque a Idumeia exerceu vingança contra a casa de Judá, e pecou (por isso) por se vingar, | 12 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them, |
| 13 por tal motivo, assim fala o Senhor Deus: Estenderei a minha mão contra a Idumeia, tirar-lhe-ei os homens e os animais, e farei dela um deserto; desde Temau até Dedan cairão mortos à espada. | 13 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword. |
| 14 Exercerei a minha vingança sobre a Idumeia, pela mão do meu povo de Israel, que tratará Edom segundo a minha ira e o meu furor, e (os Idumeus) reconhecerão a minha vingança, diz o Senhor Deus. | 14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD. |
| 15 Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Porque os Filisteus se entregaram à vingança, se vingaram com profundo desprezo, matando com o (seu) ódio eterno, | 15 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in never-ending enmity; |
| 16 por esse motivo, isto diz o Senhor Deus: Vou estender a minha mão contra os Filisteus, matarei os Cretenses e exterminarei o que resta na costa do mar. | 16 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast. |
| 17 Tomarei deles terríveis vinganças, castigando-os furiosamente. Saberão que sou o Senhor, quando tiver exercido a minha vingança sobre eles. | 17 I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them." |
