| 1 E olhei, e eis que no firmamento, que estava sobre a cabeça dos querubins, havia uma espécie de pedra de safira, à semelhança dum trono, sobre eles. | 1 Then I looked, and behold, on the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something like a sapphire, in form resembling a throne. |
| 2 (O Senhor) falou ao homem que estava vestido de roupas de linho, assim: Vai aos intervalos das rodas que estão debaixo dos querubins, enche a tua mão de carvões ardentes, que estão entre os querubins, e espalha-os sobre a cidade. E ele foi, à minha vista. | 2 And he said to the man clothed in linen, "Go in among the whirling wheels underneath the cherubim; fill your hands with burning coals from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city." And he went in before my eyes. |
| 3 Os querubins estavam ao lado direito da casa (do Senhor) quando lá entrou aquele homem, e a nuvem encheu o átrio interior. | 3 Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the house, when the man went in; and a cloud filled the inner court. |
| 4 A glória do Senhor elevou-se de cima dos querubins, indo-se pôr à entrada da casa, e a casa ficou coberta com a nuvem, e o átrio encheu-se do esplendor da glória do Senhor. | 4 And the glory of the LORD went up from the cherubim to the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the glory of the LORD. |
| 5 O ruído das asas dos querubins ouviu-se até ao átrio exterior, parecendo-se com a voz de Deus Omipotente, quando fala. | 5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks. |
| 6 Tendo o Senhor dado ao homem, que estava vestido de roupas de linho, esta ordem: Toma do fogo do intervalo das rodas que estão entre os querubins ele foi e pôs-se junto das rodas. | 6 And when he commanded the man clothed in linen, "Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim," he went in and stood beside a wheel. |
| 7 Então um querubim estendeu a mão do meio dos querubins para o fogo, que estava entre os querubins, pegou nele e pô-lo nas mãos daquele que estava vestido de roupas de linho, o qual, tomando-o, saiu. | 7 And a cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it, and put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who took it and went out. |
| 8 Via-se nos querubins uma semelhança de mão de homem debaixo das suas asas. | 8 The cherubim appeared to have the form of a human hand under their wings. |
| 9 Olhei ainda e (vi que) havia quatro rodas junto dos querubins: uma roda junto de cada querubim. O aspecto destas rodas era como ó duma pedra de crisólito. | 9 And I looked, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one beside each cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like sparkling chrysolite. |
| 10 Todas quatro pareciam semelhantes, como se uma roda estivesse no melo de outra roda. | 10 And as for their appearance, the four had the same likeness, as if a wheel were within a wheel. |
| 11 Ao avançar, moviam-se nas quatro direcções, e não tornavam para trás quando andavam, porque, para onde a que estava primeiro dirigia o seu caminho, para lá também as outras seguiam, sem voltar para nenhum outro lado. | 11 When they went, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went, but in whatever direction the front wheel faced the others followed without turning as they went. |
| 12 Todo o corpo (dos querubins), o seu dorso, as suas mãos e asas, bem como as rodas, estavam cheios de olhos em toda a volta: cada um dos quatro tinha uma roda. | 12 And their rims, and their spokes, and the wheels were full of eyes round about--the wheels that the four of them had. |
| 13 A estas rodas ouvi dar o nome de turbilhão. | 13 As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing the whirling wheels. |
| 14 Cada um (destes querubins) tinha quatro faces: a primeira face era face de querubim; a segunda face era face de homem; a terceira era face de leão; e a quarta era face de águia. | 14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. |
| 15 Os querubins elevaram-se: eram os seres vivos que eu tinha visto junto do rio Cobar. | 15 And the cherubim mounted up. These were the living creatures that I saw by the river Chebar. |
| 16 Quando os querubins andavam, também as rodas andavam igualmente junto deles; e, quando os querubins estendiam as suas asas para se elevarem da terra, as rodas também não se desviavam de junto deles. | 16 And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them. |
| 17 Quando eles paravam, paravam elas; quando eles se elevavam, elas se elevavam com eles, porque o espirito dos seres vivos (também) estava nelas. | 17 When they stood still, these stood still, and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in them. |
| 18 (Depois) saiu a glória do Senhor da entrada do templo e pôs-se sobre os querubins. | 18 Then the glory of the LORD went forth from the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim. |
| 19 Os querubins estenderam as suas asas e elevaram-se da terra, a meus olhos, partindo, juntamente com as rodas. Pararam à entrada da porta oriental da casa do Senhor, e a glória do Deus de Israel estava sobre eles. | 19 And the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight as they went forth, with the wheels beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the house of the LORD; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them. |
| 20 Estes são os mesmos seres vivos que vi debaixo do Deus de Israel, junto do rio Cobar; conheci que eram querubins. | 20 These were the living creatures that I saw underneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim. |
| 21 Cada um deles tinha quatro faces, cada um quatro asas; e debaixo das suas asas apareciam umas semelhanças de mãos humanas. | 21 Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings the semblance of human hands. |
| 22 As suas faces eram semelhantes às que eu tinha visto do rio Cobar. Cada um caminhava direito para a frente. | 22 And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the very faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. They went every one straight forward. |
