| 1 Nadab e Abiu, filhos de Aarão, tendo tomado os turíbulos, puseram neles fogo e incenso, oferecendo diante do Senhor um fogo estranho, o que não lhes tinha sido ordenado. | 1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. |
| 2 Um fogo vindo do Senhor devorou-os e morreram diante do Senhor. | 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. |
| 3 Moisés disse a Aarão: Isto é o que disse o Senhor: Eu serei santificado naqueles que se aproximam de mim, e serei glorificado em presença de todo o povo. Aarão, ouvindo isto, calou-se. | 3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. |
| 4 Moisés, chamando Misael e Elisafan, filhos de Oziel, tio de Aarão, disse-lhes: Ide, e tirai vossos irmãos de diante do santuário, e levai-os para fora dos acampamentos. | 4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. |
| 5 Eles foram logo, e levaram-nos vestidos, como estavam, com as suas túnicas de linho, e lançaram-nos fora, como lhes fora ordenado. | 5 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. |
| 6 Moisés disse a Aarão e a Eleazar, e a Itamar, seus filhos: Não descubrais a cabeça, nem rasgueis as vossas vestes, não suceda morrerdes vós, e levantar-se a ira do Senhor contra o povo. Vossos irmãos e toda a casa de Israel chorem o incêndio que o Senhor suscitou: | 6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled. |
| 7 vós, porém, não saireis da porta do tabernáculo, aliás perecereis, porque o óleo da santa unção está sobre vós. Eles fizeram tudo conforme o preceito de Moisés. | 7 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses. |
| 8 Disse também o Senhor a Aarão: | 8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, |
| 9 Tu e teus filhos não bebereis vinho, nem qualquer coisa que possa embriagar, quando entrardes no tabernáculo da reunião para que não morrais; porque este é um preceito eterno para as vossas gerações, | 9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: |
| 10 para que tenhais a ciência de saber discernir entre o santo e o profano, entre o impuro e o puro, | 10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; |
| 11 e para que ensineis aos filhos de Israel todas as minhas leis, que o Senhor lhes prescreveu por intermédio de Moisés. | 11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. |
| 12 Moisés disse a Aarão, e a Eleazar, e a Itamar, os (dois) filhos que lhe restavam: Tomai o sacrifício, que ficou da oblação do Senhor, e comei-o sem fermento junto do altar, porque é uma coisa santíssima. | 12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: |
| 13 Comê-lo-eis no lugar santo, porque é a parte das oblações do Senhor, designada para ti e para os teus filhos, conforme me foi ordenado. | 13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded. |
| 14 Comereis também, tu e teus filhos, e tuas filhas contigo, num lugar muito limpo, o peito, que foi oferecido, e a espádua, que foi separada, porque são as partes reservadas para ti e para os teus filhos das vítimas pacíficas dos filhos de Israel. | 14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. |
| 15 Eles elevarão diante do Senhor, além das gorduras que se queimam sobre o altar, a espádua e o peito que pertencem a ti e aos teus filhos, por uma lei perpétua, como o Senhor ordenou. | 15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded. |
| 16 Entretanto, procurando Moisés o bode, que tinha sido oferecido pelo pecado, achou-o queimado. Irado contra Eleazar e Itamar, os filhos que restavam a Aarão, disse-lhes: | 16 And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying, |
| 17 Por que não comestes vós no lugar santo a vítima pelo pecado, que é uma coisa santíssima, e vos foi dada, a fim de que leveis a iniquidade da multidão e oreis por ela diante do Senhor? | 17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD? |
| 18 Tanto mais que não levaram do seu sangue ao santuário, e vós devereis tê-la comido no santuário, como me foi ordenado. | 18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded. |
| 19 Aarão respondeu: Hoje foi oferecida a vítima pelo pecado, e o holocausto diante do Senhor; a mim, porém, aconteceu-me o que tu vês; como podia eu comer desta vítima, ou agradar ao Senhor nas cerimônias (achando-me) com o espírito entristecido? | 19 And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD? |
| 20 Moisés, tendo ouvido isto, admitiu a desculpa. | 20 And when Moses heard that, he was content. |
