| 1 Levanta-te, ó Sião, levanta-te, reveste-te da tua fortaleza; reveste-te das tuas roupagens festivas, Jerusalém, cidade santa, porque não tornarão daqui em diante, a passar pelo meio de ti, nem o incircuncidado nem o imundo. | 1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. |
| 2 Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te, assenta-te, Jerusalém; desata as cadeias do teu pescoço, cativa, filha de Sião, | 2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. |
| 3 porque eis o que diz o Senhor: Vós fostes vendidos por nada e sereis resgatados sem dinheiro, | 3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money. |
| 4 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor Deus: O meu povo desceu outrora ao Egito, para habitar ali como estrangeiro; depois Assur o oprimiu sem causa. | 4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. |
| 5 E agora que tenho eu que fazer aqui, diz o Senhor, visto o meu povo ter sido levado (como escravo) sem razão? Os seus opressores soltam bramidos, diz o Senhor, e o meu nome é blasfemado incessantemente todo o dia. | 5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed. |
| 6 Por esta causa o meu povo conhecerá o meu nome; nesse dia conhecerá que sou eu próprio que digo: Eis-me presente. | 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. |
| 7 Que formosos são, sobre os montes, os pés do que anuncia a boa nova da paz, do que anuncia o bem, do que prega a salvação, do que diz a Sião: Reina o teu Deus! | 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! |
| 8 A voz das tuas sentinelas! Elas levantam a voz, juntamente cantam de alegria porque vêem com os seus próprios olhos como o Senhor volta a Sião. | 8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion. |
| 9 Alegrai-vos, louvai à uma, ruínas de Jerusalém, porque o Senhor consolou o seu povo, resgatou Jerusalém. | 9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. |
| 10 O Senhor faz ver o seu santo braço aos olhos de todas as nações, e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação do nosso Deus. | 10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. |
| 11 Retirai-vos, retirai-vos, saí daí, não toqueis coisa impura; saí do meio dela, purificai-vos, vós os que levais os vasos do Senhor. | 11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. |
| 12 Não saireis tumultuàriamente, em fuga precipitada, porque o Senhor irá adiante de vós, e o Deus de Israel à vossa retaguarda. | 12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward. |
| 13 Eis que o meu Servo prosperará, será engrandecido, exaltado, muito altamente elevado. | 13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. |
| 14 Assim como pasmaram muitos ao verem-no - tão desfigurado estava depois, o seu rosto que não parecia de homem - | 14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: |
| 15 assim o admirarão multas nações, e diante dele os reis taparão a boca, porque verão o que nunca lhes tinha sido contado, observarão um prodígio inaudito. | 15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider. |
