| 5 Não detenhas os teus olhos sobre uma donzela. para que a sua beleza não te seja ocasião de queda. | 5 Do not look intently at a virgin, lest you stumble and incur penalties for her. |
| 6 Nunca entregues a tua alma às prostitutas, para que te não percas a ti e aos teus bens. Não deixes errar os olhos pelas ruas da cidade, nem andes vagueando pelas suas praças. | 6 Do not give yourself to harlots lest you lose your inheritance. |
| 7 Do not look around in the streets of a city, nor wander about in its deserted sections. |

| 19 Mas, se te aproximares dele, vê não cometas algum mal, donde possa resultar tirar-te a vida. | |
| 20 Sabe que comunicas com a morte, porque caminhas no meio de laços, e andas sobre as armas de homens irritados. | |

| 24 Os artistas são louvados pelas obras das suas mãos, o príncipe do povo pela sabedoria dos seus discursos, e os velhos pela prudência das suas palavras. | |
