Havia dispostos leitos de ouro e de prata sobre o pavimento de pórfiro, mármore branco, nácar e mármore negro. | 6 There were white cotton curtains and blue hangings caught up with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and marble pillars, and also couches of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl and precious stones. |

| 19 Se é, pois, do teu agrado, publique-se por tua ordem um edito, e escreva-se conforme a lei dos Persas e Medos, (a qual não é permitido violar) que a rainha Vasti não torne a entrar jamais à presença do rei, e que a sua dignidade de rainha seja recebida por outra mais digna do que ela. | 19 If it please the king, let a royal order go forth from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes so that it may not be altered, that Vashti is to come no more before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal position to another who is better than she. |
| 20 Quando isto for publicado por todas as províncias do teu império (que é vastíssimo), todas as mulheres, tanto dos grandes como dos pequenos, honrarão os seus maridos. | 20 So when the decree made by the king is proclaimed throughout all his kingdom, vast as it is, all women will give honor to their husbands, high and low." |
