1 Ao mestre do coro. Salmo. De Davide.	1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David.
2 Os céus publicam a glória de Deus, e o firmamento anuncia a obra das suas mãos.	2 The heavens describe the glory of God, and the firmament announces the work of his hands.
3 Um dia transmite esta mensagem ao outro dia, e uma noite comunica-a a outra noite.	3 Day proclaims the word to day, and night to night imparts knowledge.
4 Não é uma palavra, não é uma linguagem, cuja voz não possa perceber-se:	4 There are no speeches or conversations, where their voices are not being heard.
5 O seu som estende-se por toda a terra, e as suas palavras até às extremidades do mundo. Ali pôs uma tenda para o sol	5 Their sound has gone forth through all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.
6 que sai como um esposo do seu tálamo, dá saltos como gigante a percorrer o seu caminho.	6 He has placed his tabernacle in the sun, and he is like a bridegroom coming out of his bedroom. He has exulted like a giant running along the way;
7 A sua saída é desde uma extremidade do céu, e o seu giro (vai) até à outra extremidade, e nada se pode subtrair do seu calor.	7 his departure is from the summit of heaven. And his course reaches all the way to its summit. Neither is there anyone who can hide himself from his heat.
8 A lei do Senhor é perfeita, restaura a alma; a prescrição do Senhor é firme, instrui o rude;	8 The law of the Lord is immaculate, converting souls. The testimony of the Lord is faithful, providing wisdom to little ones.
9 Os preceitos do Senhor são rectos, deleitam o coração; o preceito do Senhor é límpido, esclarece os olhos;	9 The justice of the Lord is right, rejoicing hearts. The precepts of the Lord are brilliant, enlightening the eyes.
10 O temor do Senhor é puro, permanece eternamente. os juízos do Senhor são verdadeiros, são todos justos,	10 The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for all generations. The judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves:
11 são mais para desejar do que o ouro, do que muito ouro refinado, são mais doces do que o mel e o néctar do favo.	11 desirable beyond gold and many precious stones, and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
12 Por mais que o teu servo ponha neles a sua atenção e seja muito solícito em os guardar,	12 For, indeed, your servant keeps them, and in keeping them, there are many rewards.
13 quem é que adverte, não obstante, os seus deslizes? Purifica-me dos que me são ocultos.	13 Who can understand transgression? From my hidden faults, cleanse me, O Lord,
14 Preserva também o teu servo do orgulho, para que não tenha domínio sobre mim. Então serei íntegro e limpo de grave delito.	14 and from those of others, spare your servant. If they will have no dominion over me, then I will be immaculate, and I will be cleansed from the greatest transgression.
15 Sejam aceites as palavras da minha boca e a meditação do meu coração, diante de ti, ó Senhor, minha Rocha e meu Redentor.	15 And the eloquence of my mouth will be so as to please, along with the meditation of my heart, in your sight, forever, O Lord, my helper and my redeemer.
