| 1 Lo eunuco ( ch' ha mozzo ogni cosa, o vogli tu dire castrato) e quegli ch' hae tagliati i testicoli, e quegli il quale ha mozza la verga, non entreranno nella gesia di Dio tuo Signore. | 1 "He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD. |
| 2 Non entrerà, nella gesia di Dio, bastardo il quale sia nato di femina peccatrice, insino alla de cima generazione. | 2 "No bastard shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD. |
| 3 (Ancora chi è) quegli (che sia) della schiatta degli Ammoniti e Moabiti non entreranno, insino alla decima generazione, cioè nella gesia di Dio tuo Signore (per alcuno tempo) e in eterno. | 3 "No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none belonging to them shall enter the assembly of the LORD for ever; |
| 4 Imperciò che non vi vuolle venire incontro col pane e coll'acqua nella via, quando foste usciti d'Egitto; e ancora perchè loro feciono venire contro a te Balaam, figliuolo di Beor, (d'insino) di Meso potamia di Siria, acciò che (esso Balaam) ti male dicesse. | 4 because they did not meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. |
| 5 E Iddio tuo Signore non vuolle udire (il priego di) Balaam, e volse la maledizione in benedizione; imperciò ch' egli ti volea bene (e amàvati). | 5 Nevertheless the LORD your God would not hearken to Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loved you. |
| 6 Non farai pace con loro, nè non (desidererai e non) anderai cercando che abbiano bene, tutti i di della loro vita, sempremai. | 6 You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days for ever. |
| 7 E non avrai in abbominazione (nè in odio) gl' Idumei, imperciò che loro sono tuoi fratelli; nè ancora gli Egizii (cioè quelli d'Egitto), imperciò che tu fosti forestiere (e peregrino) nella terra loro. | 7 "You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a sojourner in his land. |
| 8 Onde quegli che (saranno e) nasceranno di loro, nella terza (ischiatta e) generazione, entreranno nella gesia di Dio. | 8 The children of the third generation that are born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD. |
| 9 Quando tu sarai uscito fuori contro a' tuoi nemici a battaglia, fa che ti guardi da ogni peccato e pravo male. | 9 "When you go forth against your enemies and are in camp, then you shall keep yourself from every evil thing. |
| 10 E se sarà tra voi uomo alcuno, il quale si sia corrutto di notte in sogno (o dormendo), uscirà fuori dell' oste; | 10 "If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of what chances to him by night, then he shall go outside the camp, he shall not come within the camp; |
| 11 e non tornerà d'insino al vespro, cioè quando sarà lavato coll'acqua; e poi, tramonto il sole, entrerà nel campo (e nell'oste). | 11 but when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water, and when the sun is down, he may come within the camp. |
| 12 Fa che tu abbia uno luogo, fuori del campo (e dell' oste), al quale anderai quando la natura (si vorrà purgare e) avrà necessità. | 12 "You shall have a place outside the camp and you shall go out to it; |
| 13 E porterai alla cintura una mazza; e quando ti porrai a sedere, farai una fossa intorno intorno dove tu ti poni; e quando ti lievi, fa che tu quello che hai fatto, ricuopra colla terra; | 13 and you shall have a stick with your weapons; and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it, and turn back and cover up your excrement. |
| 14 imperciò che Iddio tuo Signore va per lo mezzo dell' oste (e del campo vostro) acciò ch' egli ti liberi, e sì ti metta in mano li tuoi nimici; acciò che l'oste vostra sia santa (e che non abbia alcuna immondizia o bruttura) e non vi si vegga alcuna sozzura entro (o macola); e questo facendo, esso Dio tuo Signore non t ' abbandonerà. | 14 Because the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that he may not see anything indecent among you, and turn away from you. |
| 15 Non metterai il servo (nè darai) nella mano del suo signore, il quale servo fosse rifuggito a te (per caso alcuno); | 15 "You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you; |
| 16 ma lascialo abitare teco in quello dove gli piacerà; e istarà in una delle cittade sopradette; e olestia neuna. non gli fare | 16 he shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place which he shall choose within one of your towns, where it pleases him best; you shall not oppress him. |
| 17 Non sarà alcuna meretrice (nè peccatrice) delle figliuole d'Israel, nè (ruffiano o) alcuno che tenga bordello de' figliuoli d'Israel. | 17 "There shall be no cult prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a cult prostitute of the sons of Israel. |
| 18 Guarda che tu non offeri quello che guadagnato fosse in luogo dove si tenesse il bordello, e di quello prezzo del quale hai venduto il cane, nella casa (o nella gesia) di Dio tuo Signore, nè ciò che altro che tu abbi conosciuto; imperciò che l'uno e l'altro si è abbominazione innanzi Iddio tuo Signore. | 18 You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, or the wages of a dog, into the house of the LORD your God in payment for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God. |
| 19 Non presterai al tuo fratello ad usura ne denari nè biada nè alcun'altra cosa. | 19 "You shall not lend upon interest to your brother, interest on money, interest on victuals, interest on anything that is lent for interest. |
| 20 (Allo strano e) al forestiere sì; ma al tuo fratello presterai quello che avrà bisogno senza usura alcuna, acciò che Iddio tuo Signore ti benedica in tutte quante le opere delle tue mani, nella terra la quale anderai a possedere. | 20 To a foreigner you may lend upon interest, but to your brother you shall not lend upon interest; that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are entering to take possession of it. |
| 21 Quando tu farai voto a Dio tuo Signore, non tindugiare di renderlo e di farlo; imperciò che Iddio tuo Signore il ti richiederà; e se tu indu giassi (troppo, o pure alquanto), sì ti sarà reputato a peccato (e in abbominazione dinanzi a Dio). | 21 "When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not be slack to pay it; for the LORD your God will surely require it of you, and it would be sin in you. |
| 22 Ma se tu il vorrai fare, farai tosto e sanza peccato. | 22 But if you refrain from vowing, it shall be no sin in you. |
| 23 (Imperciò che) quello che è uscito (e detto) della tua bocca, fa che tu l'osservi (pienamente) e facci, siccome tu hae promesso a Dio tuo Signore, e che con la tua propria volontà e con la tua pro pria bocca hai parlato (e detto). | 23 You shall be careful to perform what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God what you have promised with your mouth. |
| 24 E quando tu entri nella vigna del prossimo tuo, manuca dell' uva quanto (ti parrà o) piacerà; ma non ne portare teco fuori della vigna (imperciò che faresti contro al dovere; e forse a quella vigna non fosti tu a porre, nè a durarvi fatica colla per sona tua). | 24 "When you go into your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your vessel. |
| 25 Se tu entrerai nella biada (la quale è nel campo) del (prossimo tuo o) amico tuo, fa che tu rompa le spighe colla mano tua, ma non colla falce (e guardala da male quanto più puoi). | 25 When you go into your neighbor's standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain. |
