Psalmi 142

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Maskil. David, cum esset in caverna. Precatio.	1 [Psalm Of David When he was in the cave Prayer] To Yahweh I cry out with my plea. To Yahweh Icry out with entreaty.
2 Voce mea ad Dominum clamo, voce mea ad Dominum deprecor;	2 I pour out my worry in his presence, in his presence I unfold my troubles.
3 effundo in conspectu eius lamentationem meam, et tribulationem meam ante ipsum pronuntio.	3 However faint my spirit; you are watching over my path. On the road I have to travel they havehidden a trap for me.
4 Cum deficit in me spiritus meus, tu nosti semitas meas. In via, qua ambulabam, absconderunt laqueum mihi.	4 Look on my right and see -- there is no one who recognises me. Al refuge is denied me, no onecares whether I live or die.
5 Considerabam ad dexteram et videbam, et non erat qui cognosceret me. Periit fuga a me, et non est qui requirat animam meam. -	5 I cry out to you, Yahweh, I affirm, 'You are my refuge, my share in the land of the living!'
6 Clamavi ad te, Domine; dixi: “ Tu es refugium meum, portio mea in terra viventium.	6 Listen to my cal ing, for I am miserably weak. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are toostrong for me.
7 Intende ad deprecationem meam, quia humiliatus sum nimis. Libera me a persequentibus me, quia confortati sunt super me.	7 Lead me out of prison that I may praise your name. The upright gather round me because of yourgenerosity to me.
8 Educ de custodia animam meam ad confitendum nomini tuo; me circumdabunt iusti, cum retribueris mihi ”.
