1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:	1 Gesù riprese a parlare loro con parabole e disse:
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,	2 «Il regno dei cieli è simile a un re, che fece una festa di nozze per suo figlio.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.	3 Egli mandò i suoi servi a chiamare gli invitati alle nozze, ma questi non volevano venire.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.	4 Mandò di nuovo altri servi con quest’ordine: “Dite agli invitati: Ecco, ho preparato il mio pranzo; i miei buoi e gli animali ingrassati sono già uccisi e tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze!”.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.	5 Ma quelli non se ne curarono e andarono chi al proprio campo, chi ai propri affari;
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.	6 altri poi presero i suoi servi, li insultarono e li uccisero.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.	7 Allora il re si indignò: mandò le sue truppe, fece uccidere quegli assassini e diede alle fiamme la loro città.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;	8 Poi disse ai suoi servi: “La festa di nozze è pronta, ma gli invitati non erano degni;
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.	9 andate ora ai crocicchi delle strade e tutti quelli che troverete, chiamateli alle nozze”.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.	10 Usciti per le strade, quei servi radunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, cattivi e buoni, e la sala delle nozze si riempì di commensali.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.	11 Il re entrò per vedere i commensali e lì scorse un uomo che non indossava l’abito nuziale.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.	12 Gli disse: “Amico, come mai sei entrato qui senza l’abito nuziale?”. Quello ammutolì.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.	13 Allora il re ordinò ai servi: “Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo fuori nelle tenebre; là sarà pianto e stridore di denti”.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.	14 Perché molti sono chiamati, ma pochi eletti».
15 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men?s person;	15 Allora i farisei se ne andarono e tennero consiglio per vedere come coglierlo in fallo nei suoi discorsi.
16 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?	16 Mandarono dunque da lui i propri discepoli, con gli erodiani, a dirgli: «Maestro, sappiamo che sei veritiero e insegni la via di Dio secondo verità. Tu non hai soggezione di alcuno, perché non guardi in faccia a nessuno.
17 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?	17 Dunque, di’ a noi il tuo parere: è lecito, o no, pagare il tributo a Cesare?».
18 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.	18 Ma Gesù, conoscendo la loro malizia, rispose: «Ipocriti, perché volete mettermi alla prova?
19 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?	19 Mostratemi la moneta del tributo». Ed essi gli presentarono un denaro.
20 They say to him, Caesar?s. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar?s to Caesar, and what is God?s to God.	20 Egli domandò loro: «Questa immagine e l’iscrizione, di chi sono?».
21 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.	21 Gli risposero: «Di Cesare». Allora disse loro: «Rendete dunque a Cesare quello che è di Cesare e a Dio quello che è di Dio».
22 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.	22 A queste parole rimasero meravigliati, lo lasciarono e se ne andarono.
23 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.	23 In quello stesso giorno vennero da lui alcuni sadducei – i quali dicono che non c’è risurrezione – e lo interrogarono:
24 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.	24 «Maestro, Mosè disse: Se uno muore senza figli, suo fratello ne sposerà la moglie e darà una discendenza al proprio fratello.
25 And last of all the woman also died.	25 Ora, c’erano tra noi sette fratelli; il primo, appena sposato, morì e, non avendo discendenza, lasciò la moglie a suo fratello.
26 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?	26 Così anche il secondo, e il terzo, fino al settimo.
27 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.	27 Alla fine, dopo tutti, morì la donna.
28 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.	28 Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette lei sarà moglie? Poiché tutti l’hanno avuta in moglie».
29 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:	29 E Gesù rispose loro: «Vi ingannate, perché non conoscete le Scritture e neppure la potenza di Dio.
30 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.	30 Alla risurrezione infatti non si prende né moglie né marito, ma si è come angeli nel cielo.
31 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.	31 Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto quello che vi è stato detto da Dio:
32 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se	32 Io sono il Dio di Abramo, il Dio di Isacco e il Dio di Giacobbe? Non è il Dio dei morti, ma dei viventi!».
33 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:	33 La folla, udendo ciò, era stupita dal suo insegnamento.
34 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?	34 Allora i farisei, avendo udito che egli aveva chiuso la bocca ai sadducei, si riunirono insieme
35 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.	35 e uno di loro, un dottore della Legge, lo interrogò per metterlo alla prova:
36 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.	36 «Maestro, nella Legge, qual è il grande comandamento?».
37 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.	37 Gli rispose: «Amerai il Signore tuo Dio con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima e con tutta la tua mente.
38 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.	38 Questo è il grande e primo comandamento.
39 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:	39 Il secondo poi è simile a quello: Amerai il tuo prossimo come te stesso.
40 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!	40 Da questi due comandamenti dipendono tutta la Legge e i Profeti».
41 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:	41 Mentre i farisei erano riuniti insieme, Gesù chiese loro:
42 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?	42 «Che cosa pensate del Cristo? Di chi è figlio?». Gli risposero: «Di Davide».
43 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?	43 Disse loro: «Come mai allora Davide, mosso dallo Spirito, lo chiama Signore, dicendo:
44 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.	44 Disse il Signore al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché io ponga i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi?
	45 Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, come può essere suo figlio?».
	46 Nessuno era in grado di rispondergli e, da quel giorno, nessuno osò più interrogarlo.
