1 “And these are the names of the tribes, from the parts of the north, beside the way of Hethlon, continuing on to Hamath, at the entrance of Enon, to the border of Damascus toward the north, beside the way of Hamath. And from the region of the east to the sea, there will be one portion for Dan.	1 Voici la répartition des tribus. Dan a son territoire tout au nord, dans la direction de Hetlon, vers l’entrée de Hamat et Hasar-Énan; il s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, laissant plus au nord le territoire de Damas qui longe Hamat.
2 And beyond the border of Dan, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Asher.	2 Le territoire d’Asher s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, juste à côté de Dan.
3 And beyond the border of Asher, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Naphtali.	3 Le territoire de Nephtali s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, sur le côté d’Asher.
4 And beyond the border of Naphtali, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Manasseh.	4 Le territoire de Manassé s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, sur le côté de Nephtali.
5 And beyond the border of Manasseh, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Ephraim.	5 Le territoire d’Éphraïm s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, sur le côté de Manassé.
6 And beyond the border of Ephraim, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Reuben.	6 Le territoire de Ruben s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, sur le côté d’Éphraïm.
7 And beyond the border of Reuben, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Judah.	7 Le territoire de Juda s’étend de la frontière est à la frontière ouest, sur le côté de Ruben.
8 And beyond the border of Judah, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be the first-fruits, which you shall separate, twenty-five thousand in width, and in length, the same as each one of the portions from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea. And the sanctuary shall be in its midst.	8 Après Juda, depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest, vous réserverez un territoire large de 25 000 coudées et aussi long que chacune des autres parts; c’est au milieu de ce territoire que sera le sanctuaire.
9 The first-fruits, which you shall separate to the Lord, shall be, in length, twenty-five thousand, and in width, ten thousand.	9 La part que vous prélèverez pour Yahvé sera longue de 25 000 coudées et large de 10 000.
10 And these shall be the first-fruits for the sanctuary of the priests: toward the north, in length, twenty-five thousand, and toward the sea, in width, ten thousand, but also, toward the east, in width, ten thousand, and toward the south, in length, twenty-five thousand. And the sanctuary of the Lord shall be in its midst.	10 Le lot sacré destiné aux prêtres aura 25 000 coudées au nord, 10 000 coudées de largeur à l’ouest et à l’est, et 25 000 coudées au sud. Le sanctuaire de Yahvé sera au milieu.
11 The sanctuary shall be for the priests from the sons of Zadok, who observed my ceremonies and did not go astray, when the sons of Israel went astray, just as the Levites also went astray.	11 Ce territoire sera pour les prêtres consacrés, ces descendants de Sadoq qui ont assuré mon service et n’ont pas suivi les Israélites dans leur égarement comme ont fait les lévites.
12 And so the foremost of the first-fruits of the land, the Holy of Holies, beside the border of the Levites, shall be for them.	12 Ceux-là auront un lot pris sur la part très sainte du pays, à côté du territoire des lévites.
13 But also the Levites, similarly, shall have, beside the borders of the priests, twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in width. The entire length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the width shall be ten thousand.	13 Le territoire des lévites, comme celui des prêtres, aura 25 000 coudées de long et 10 000 de large.
14 And they shall not sell from it, nor exchange, and the first-fruits of the land shall not be transferred. For these have been sanctified to the Lord.	14 Ils ne pourront ni vendre ni échanger cette terre, ils ne pourront pas la céder à quelqu’un d’autre, car elle est consacrée à Yahvé.
15 But the five thousand that is left over, out of the twenty-five thousand in width, will be a profane place of the city for dwelling and for the suburbs. And the city shall be in the center.	15 Le terrain qui reste, large de 5 000 coudées et long de 25 000, sera un territoire profane pour la ville, les habitations et les pâturages; la ville sera au milieu.
16 And these shall be its measurements: on the northern side, four thousand and five hundred; and on the southern side, four thousand and five hundred; and on the eastern side, four thousand and five hundred; and on the western side, four thousand and five hundred.	16 Voici ses dimensions: 4 500 coudées au nord, 4 500 coudées au sud, 4 500 coudées à l’est, et 4 500 coudées à l’ouest.
17 But the suburbs of the city shall be: to the north, two hundred and fifty; and to the south, two hundred and fifty; and to the east, two hundred and fifty; and to the sea, two hundred and fifty.	17 Au nord, les pâturages de la ville s’étendront sur 250 coudées à l’est et 250 à l’ouest.
18 Now what will remain of the length, in accord with the first-fruits of the sanctuary, ten thousand in the east, and ten thousand in the west, shall be as the first-fruits of the sanctuary. And its produce will be for the bread of those who serve the city.	18 Le long de la part consacrée, il restera un terrain long de 10 000 coudées vers l’est et de 10 000 vers l’ouest; les revenus de ce terrain serviront à nourrir les travailleurs de la ville.
19 And those who serve the city will be taken from all the tribes of Israel.	19 Les travailleurs de la ville seront pris parmi toutes les tribus d’Israël et cultiveront ce terrain.
20 All the first-fruits, of the twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand square, shall be separated as the first-fruits of the sanctuary and as the possession of the city.	20 Au total, le lot prélevé sur l’héritage d’Israël fera 25 000 coudées sur 25 000. Au centre un espace sera réservé pour la construction de la ville.
21 And what will remain shall be for the prince out of every portion of the first-fruits of the sanctuary and of the possession of the city, from the region of the twenty-five thousand of the first-fruits, even to the eastern border. But also to the sea from the region of the twenty-five thousand, even to the border of the sea, similarly shall be the portion of the prince. And the first-fruits of the sanctuary, and the sanctuary of the temple, shall be in its center.	21 Le prince recevra ce qui reste à l’est et à l’ouest, de part et d’autre de la part consacrée et de la propriété de la ville, sur la bande large de 25 000 coudées allant de la frontière est à la frontière ouest; la part du prince sera parallèle aux autre lots, et au milieu sera le domaine sacré avec le sanctuaire de la Maison.
22 Now from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, which are in the midst of the prince’s portions, whatever is between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall also belong to the prince.	22 Ainsi le prince recevra le terrain au-delà de celui des lévites et au-delà de celui de la ville, entre le territoire de Juda et celui de Benjamin.
23 And for the remainder of the tribes, from the eastern region, even to the western region, there shall be one portion for Benjamin.	23 Voici les parts pour les autres tribus: Benjamin aura une part depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest.
24 And opposite the border of Benjamin, from the eastern region, even to the western region, there shall be one portion for Simeon.	24 Juste à côté de Benjamin, Siméon aura une part depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest.
25 And beyond the border of Simeon, from the eastern region, even to the western region, there shall be one portion for Issachar.	25 Juste à côté de Siméon, Issacar aura une part depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest.
26 And beyond the border of Issachar, from the eastern region, even to the western region, there shall be one portion for Zebulun.	26 Juste à côté d’Issacar, Zabulon aura une part depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest.
27 And beyond the border of Zebulun, from the eastern region, even to the region of the sea, there shall be one portion for Gad.	27 Juste à côté de Zabulon, Gad aura une part depuis la frontière est jusqu’à la frontière ouest.
28 And beyond the border of Gad, toward the southern region, in the meridian, the last part shall be from Tamar, even to the Waters of Contradiction at Kadesh, as the inheritance opposite the great sea.	28 La frontière méridionale de Gad ira de Tamar aux eaux de Mériba de Qadesh, jusqu’à la Grande Mer en suivant le torrent d’Égypte.
29 This is the land that you shall distribute by lot to the tribes of Israel, and these shall be their portions, says the Lord God.	29 Voilà le pays que vous partagerez en héritage entre les tribus d’Israël, et voilà leur part à chacune - parole de Yahvé.
30 And these shall be the exits of the city: from the northern region, you shall measure four thousand and five hundred.	30 Voici les sorties de la ville. Le côté nord fera 4 500 coudées,
31 And the gates of the city shall be according to the names of the tribes of Israel. There shall be three gates from the north: the gate of Reuben one, the gate of Judah one, the gate of Levi one.	31 Il y aura trois portes au nord: la porte de Ruben, celle de Juda et celle de Lévi (car les portes de la ville recevront les noms des tribus d’Israël).
32 And to the eastern region, there shall be four thousand and five hundred. And there shall be three gates: the gate of Joseph one, the gate of Benjamin one, the gate of Dan one.	32 Le côté est mesurera 4 500 coudées, il aura trois portes: les portes de Joseph, de Benjamin et de Dan.
33 And to the southern region, you shall measure four thousand and five hundred. And there shall be three gates: the gate of Simeon one, the gate of Issachar one, the gate of Zebulun one.	33 Le côté sud mesurera 4 500 coudées, il aura trois portes: les portes de Siméon, d’Issacar et de Zabulon.
34 And to the western region, there shall be four thousand and five hundred, and their three gates: the gate of Gad one, the gate of Asher one, the gate of Naphtali one.	34 Du côté ouest on mesurera 4 500 coudées et il y aura trois portes: les portes de Gad, d’Asher et de Nephtali.
35 Along circumference, there shall be eighteen thousand. And the name of the city, from that day, shall be: ‘The Lord is in that very place.’ ”	35 Le tour de la ville fera donc 18 000 coudées. Quant à son nom, il sera à partir de ce jour: “Yahvé est là.”
