Psalms 76

1 Unto the end. For Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.	1 Per Idithun. Salmo di Asaph. Alzai la mia voce, e le mie grida al Signore: alzai la mia voce a Dio; ed egli mi ascoltò.
2 I cried out to the Lord with my voice, to God with my voice, and he attended to me.	2 Nel giorno di mia tribolazione stesi la notte verso Dio le mie mani: e non sono stato deluso.
3 In the days of my tribulation, I sought God, with my hands opposite him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be consoled.	3 Non volle consolazione l'anima mia: mi ricordai di Dio, e n'ebbi conforto, e mi esercitai nella meditazione, e venne meno il mio spirito.
4 I was mindful of God, and I was delighted, and I was distressed, and my spirit fell away.	4 Gli occhi miei prevennero le vigilie: io era turbato, e non apersi la bocca.
5 My eyes anticipated the vigils. I was disturbed, and I did not speak.	5 Ripensai ai giorni antichi: ed ebbi in mente gli anni eterni.
6 I considered the days of antiquity, and I held the years of eternity in my mind.	6 E meditava la notte in cuor mio, e ponderava, e ripurgava il mio spirito.
7 And I meditated in the night with my heart, and I was distressed, and I examined my spirit.	7 Ci rigetterà forse Dio in eterno, ovvero non vorrà più essere disposto a placarsi?
8 So then, will God reject for eternity? Will he not continue to allow himself to show favor?	8 Ovvero terrà egli per sempre la sua misericordia a tutte le generazioni, che seguiranno?
9 Or, will he cut off his mercy in the end, from generation to generation?	9 Ovvero si dimenticherà Dio di usar pietà? o tratterrà nell'ira sua le sue misericordie?
10 And would God ever forget to be merciful? Or, would he, in his wrath, restrict his mercies?	10 E io dissi: Adesso io incomincio: questo cangiamento (vien) dalla destra dell'Altissimo.
11 And I said, “Now I have begun. This change is from the right hand of the Most High.”	11 Mi son ricordato delle opere del Signore: anzi mi ricorderò di tutte e meraviglie fatte da te fin da prinipio.
12 I was mindful of the works of the Lord. For I will be mindful from the beginning of your wonders,	12 E mediterò tutte quante le opere sue, e anderò investigando i tuoi consigli.
13 and I will meditate on all your works. And I will take part in your intentions.	13 Le tue vie, o Dio, sono sante: qual è il Dio, che grande sia, come il Dio nostro? Tu se' il Dio, che operi meraviglie.
14 Your way, O God, is in what is holy. Which God is great like our God?	14 Tu facesti manifesto a' popoli il tuo potere: col tuo braccio tu riscattasti il tuo popolo, i figliuoli di Giacobbe, e di Giuseppe.
15 You are the God who performs miracles. You have made your virtue known among the peoples.	15 Te videro le acque, o Dio, le acque ti videro, e si impaurirono; e gli abissi furono sconvolti.
16 With your arm, you have redeemed your people, the sons of Jacob and of Joseph.	16 Romor grande di pioggia: le nuvole hanno date fuori le loro voci.
17 The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you, and they were afraid, and the depths were stirred up.	17 Le tue saette scoppiano: la voce del tuo tuono ruota per l'aria.
18 Great was the sound of the waters. The clouds uttered a voice. For your arrows also pass by.	18 I tuoi folgori illuminarono il giro della terra: la terra si scosse, e tremò.
19 The voice of your thunder is like a wheel. Your flashes have illuminated the whole world. The earth has quaked and trembled.	19 Tu camminavi pel mare: tu ti facesti strada per mezzo alle acque, e non si vedranno le tue pedate.
20 Your way is through the sea, and your paths are through many waters. And your traces will not be known.	20 Guidasti il tuo popolo, come tante pecorelle, col ministero di Mosè, e di Aronne.
21 You have conducted your people like sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
