2 when the Ziphites had arrived and they said to Saul, “Has not David been hidden with us?”	2 Quando gli Zifei andarono a dire a Saul: « Oh non s'è nascosto tra noi David? »
3 Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me in your virtue.	3 Salvami pel tuo nome, o Dio, rendimi giustizia colla tua potenza.
4 O God, listen to my prayer. Pay attention to the words of my mouth.	4 O Dio, esaudisci la mia preghiera, porgi l'orecchio alle parole della mia bocca.
5 For strangers have risen up against me, and the strong have sought my soul. And they have not set God before their eyes.	5 Perché degli stranieri si son levati contro di me, dei violenti m'attentano la vita; gente che non tiene Dio davanti agli occhi.
6 For behold, God is my helper, and the Lord is the protector of my soul.	6 Ma ecco Dio m'aiuta, il Signore difende la mia vita.
7 Turn back the evils upon my adversaries, and ruin them by your truth.	7 Fai ricadere il male sopra i miei nemici, nella tua fedeltà annientali.
8 I will freely sacrifice to you, and I will confess your name, O God, because it is good.	8 Allora t'offrirò spontanei sacrifizi, e darò lode al tuo nome, perchè è buono,
9 For you have quickly rescued me from all tribulation, and my eye has looked down upon my enemies.	9 Perchè tu m'hai salvato da ogni tribolazione, e l'occhio mio può guardar con disprezzo i miei nemici.
