1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.	1 SE dunque voi siete risuscitati con Cristo, cercate le cose di sopra, dove Cristo è a sedere alla destra di Dio.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.	2 Pensate alle cose di sopra, non a quelle che son sopra la terra.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.	3 Perciocchè voi siete morti, e la vita vostra è nascosta con Cristo in Dio.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.	4 Quando Cristo, che è la vita vostra, apparirà, allora ancor voi apparirete con lui in gloria
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:	5 Mortificate adunque le vostre membra che son sopra la terra; fornicazione, immondizia, lussuria nefanda, mala concupiscenza, ed avarizia, che è idolatria.
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:	6 Per le quali cose viene l’ira di Dio sopra i figliuoli della disubbidienza.
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.	7 Nelle quali già camminaste ancor voi, quando vivevate in esse
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.	8 Ma ora deponete ancora voi tutte queste cose: ira, cruccio, malizia, e fuor della vostra bocca maldicenza, e parlar disonesto.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;	9 Non mentite gli uni agli altri, avendo spogliato l’uomo vecchio co’ suoi atti;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:	10 e vestito il nuovo, che si rinnova a conoscenza, secondo l’immagine di colui che l’ha creato.
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.	11 Dove non vi è Greco e Giudeo, circoncisione e incirconcisione, Barbaro e Scita, servo e franco; ma Cristo è ogni cosa, ed in tutti
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;	12 Vestitevi adunque, come eletti di Dio, santi, e diletti, di viscere di misericordia, di benignità, d’umiltà, di mansuetudine, di pazienza;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.	13 comportandovi gli uni gli altri, e perdonandovi, se alcuno ha qualche querela contro ad un altro; come Cristo ancora vi ha perdonati, fate voi altresì il simigliante.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.	14 E per tutte queste cose, vestitevi di carità, che è il legame della perfezione.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.	15 Ed abbia la presidenza ne’ cuori vostri la pace di Dio, alla quale ancora siete stati chiamati in un corpo; e siate riconoscenti.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.	16 La parola di Cristo abiti in voi doviziosamente, in ogni sapienza; ammaestrandovi, ed ammonendovi gli uni gli altri, con salmi, ed inni, e canzoni spirituali; cantando con grazia del cuor vostro al Signore.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.	17 E qualunque cosa facciate, in parola, o in opera, fate ogni cosa nel nome del Signore Gesù, rendendo grazie a Dio, e Padre, per lui
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.	18 MOGLI, siate soggette a’ mariti, come si conviene nel Signore.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.	19 Mariti, amate le mogli, e non v’inasprite contro a loro.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.	20 Figliuoli, ubbidite a’ padri e madri, in ogni cosa; poichè questo è accettevole al Signore.
21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.	21 Padri, non provocate ad ira i vostri figliuoli, acciocchè non vengan meno dell’animo.
22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:	22 Servi, ubbidite in ogni cosa a quelli che son vostri signori secondo la carne; non servendo all’occhio, come per piacere agli uomini; ma in semplicità di cuore, temendo Iddio.
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;	23 E qualunque cosa facciate, operate d’animo, facendolo come al Signore, e non agli uomini;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.	24 sapendo che dal Signore riceverete la retribuzione dell’eredità; poichè voi servite a Cristo, il Signore.
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.	25 Ma chi fa torto riceverà la retribuzione del torto ch’egli avrà fatto, e non vi è riguardo a qualità di persona
