1 And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.	1 E di nuovo entrò nella sinagoga, e quivi era un uomo con una mano secca,
2 And they watched him whether he would heal on the sabbath days; that they might accuse him.	2 e stavano ad osservare se lo guariva di sabato, per accusarlo.
3 And he said to the man who had the withered hand: Stand up in the midst.	3 Ed egli disse all'uomo che aveva la mano secca: Vieni nel mezzo.
4 And he saith to them: Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy? But they held their peace.	4 Poi disse loro: E' lecito fare del bene o del male, di sabato? salvare o togliere la vita? Ma quelli tacevano.
5 And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored unto him.	5 Allora guardatili tutti in giro con indignazione, contristato per la cecità del loro cuore, disse a quell'uomo: Stendi la mano. Egli la stese, e la mano tornò sana.
6 And the Pharisees going out, immediately made a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.	6 Ma i Farisei, appena usciti, tennero consiglio cogli Erodiani contro di lui sulla maniera di farlo morire.
7 But Jesus retired with his disciples to the sea; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee and Judea,	7 Ma Gesù coi suoi discepoli si ritirò verso il mare; e lo seguì molta folla dalla Giudea, dalla Galilea,
8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and from beyond the Jordan. And they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing the things which he did, came to him.	8 da Gerusalemme, e dall'Idumea, e d'oltre il Giordano. Anche dalle vicinanze di Tiro e di Sidone, molta gente, avendo udito le cose che faceva, venne a lui.
9 And he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.	9 Ed egli disse ai suoi discepoli che gli tenessero pronta una barchetta perchè la folla non io soffocasse.
10 For he healed many, so that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had evils.	10 Perchè avendone guariti molti, quanti avevan malori gli si precipitavano addosso per toccarlo.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him: and they cried, saying:	11 E gli spiriti immondi, quando lo vedevano, gli si prostravano davanti gridando:
12 Thou art the Son of God. And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.	12 Tu sei Figlio di Dio. Ma egli con gravi minacce proibiva loro di manifestarlo.
13 And going up into a mountain, he called unto him whom he would himself: and they came to him.	13 E salito su un monte chiamò a sè quei che volle: ed essi andarono a lui.
14 And he made that twelve should be with him, and that he might send them to preach.	14 E ne scelse dodici per averli con sè e mandarli a predicare.
15 And he gave them power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.	15 E diede loro il potere di curare le infermità e cacciare i demoni. (Essi sono)
16 And to Simon he gave the name Peter:	16 Simone, cui pose nome Pietro;
17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he named them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:	17 Giacomo di Zebedeo e Giovanni fratello di Giacomo, ai quali mise nome Boanerges, cioè figli del tuono;
18 And Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew and Matthew, and Thomas and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananean:	18 poi Andrea, Filippo, Bartolomeo, Matteo, Tommaso, Giacomo d'Alfeo, Taddeo, Simone il Cananeo,
19 And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.	19 e Giuda Iscariote, che poi lo tradì.
20 And they come to a house, and the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.	20 E tornati a casa, di nuovo si radunò la folla, sicché non potevano neppure mangiare.
21 And when his friends had heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him. For they said: He is become mad.	21 Or i suoi, avendolo saputo, uscirono per tenerlo a forza, perchè dicevano: E' fuor di senno.
22 And the scribes who were come down from Jerusalem, said: He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of devils he casteth out devils.	22 E gli Scribi che eran venuti da Gerusalemme dicevano: Ha Belzebub e nel principe dei demoni scaccia i demoni.
23 And after he had called them together, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?	23 Ma Gesù, chiamatili a sè, diceva loro in parabole: Come può Satana cacciar Satana?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.	24 E se un regno è diviso, ei non può durare.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.	25 E se una casa è divisa in parti contrarie, è casa che non dura.
26 And if Satan be risen up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.	26 Se quindi Satana insorge contro se stesso ed è discorde, non potrà reggere, ma dovrà finire.
27 No man can enter into the house of a strong man and rob him of his goods, unless he first bind the strong man, and then shall he plunder his house.	27 E nessuno può entrare in casa del forte a rubargli i beni, se prima non lo lega, allora gli saccheggerà la casa.
28 Amen I say to you, that all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme:	28 Vì dico in verità che saranno rimessi ai figli degli uomini tutti i peccati e qualunque bestemmia abbian proferita,
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, shall never have forgiveness, but shall be guilty of an everlasting sin.	29 ma chi avrà bestemmiato contro lo Spirito Santo, non otterrà perdono in eterno, ma reo sarà d'eterno peccato.
30 Because they said: He hath an unclean spirit.	30 E questo a loro, perchè dicevano: Ha lo spirito immondo.
31 And his mother and his bretheren came; and standing without, sent unto him, calling him.	31 E venne la madre e i fratelli di lui, che, fermatisi fuori, mandarono a chiamarlo.
32 And the multitude sat about him; and they say to him: Behold thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.	32 E mentre gli sedeva intorno molta gente gli dicono: Ecco tua madre e i tuoi fratelli stan fuori e ti cercano.
33 And answering them, he said: Who is my mother and my brethren?	33 Ma egli rispondendo loro, disse: Chi è mia madre? e chi sono i miei fratelli?
34 And looking round about on them who sat about him, he saith: Behold my mother and my brethren.	34 E guardando in giro chi gli sedeva attorno, disse: Ecco la madre mia e i miei fratelli.
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.	35 Chi infatti farà la volontà di Dio, questi mi è fratello, sorella e madre.
