1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra Ghittit QUANT’è magnifico il nome tuo per tutta la terra, O Signore, Signor nostro, Che hai posta la tua maestà sopra i cieli!	1 [For the choirmaster On the . . . of Gath Psalm Of David] Yahweh our Lord, how majestic is your namethroughout the world! Whoever keeps singing of your majesty higher than the heavens,
2 Per la bocca de’ piccoli fanciulli, e di quelli che poppano, Tu hai fondata la tua gloria, per cagione de’ tuoi nemici, Per far restare il nemico e il vendicatore	2 even through the mouths of children, or of babes in arms, you make him a fortress, firm against yourfoes, to subdue the enemy and the rebel.
3 Quando io veggo i tuoi cieli, che sono opera delle tue dita; La luna e le stelle che tu hai disposte;	3 I look up at your heavens, shaped by your fingers, at the moon and the stars you set firm-
4 Io dico: Che cosa è l’uomo, che tu ne abbi memoria? E che cosa è il figliuolo dell’uomo, che tu ne prenda cura?	4 what are human beings that you spare a thought for them, or the child of Adam that you care for him?
5 E che tu l’abbi fatto poco minor degli Angeli, E l’abbi coronato di gloria e d’onore?	5 Yet you have made him little less than a god, you have crowned him with glory and beauty,
6 E che tu lo faccia signoreggiare sopra le opere delle tue mani, Ed abbi posto ogni cosa sotto i suoi piedi?	6 made him lord of the works of your hands, put al things under his feet,

9 O Signore, Signor nostro, Quanto è magnifico il Nome tuo in tutta la terra!	9 Yahweh our Lord, how majestic your name throughout the world!
