1 'Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide.'	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
2 I cieli narrano la gloria di Dio, e l'opera delle sue mani annunzia il firmamento.	2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.
3 Il giorno al giorno ne affida il messaggio e la notte alla notte ne trasmette notizia.	3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard;
4 Non è linguaggio e non sono parole, di cui non si oda il suono.	4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5 Per tutta la terra si diffonde la loro voce e ai confini del mondo la loro parola.	5 which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a strong man runs its course with joy.
6 Là pose una tenda per il sole che esce come sposo dalla stanza nuziale, esulta come prode che percorre la via.	6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat.
7 Egli sorge da un estremo del cielo e la sua corsa raggiunge l'altro estremo: nulla si sottrae al suo calore.	7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
8 La legge del Signore è perfetta, rinfranca l'anima; la testimonianza del Signore è verace, rende saggio il semplice.	8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 Gli ordini del Signore sono giusti, fanno gioire il cuore; i comandi del Signore sono limpidi, danno luce agli occhi.	9 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.
10 Il timore del Signore è puro, dura sempre; i giudizi del Signore sono tutti fedeli e giusti,	10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 più preziosi dell'oro, di molto oro fino, più dolci del miele e di un favo stillante.	11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Anche il tuo servo in essi è istruito, per chi li osserva è grande il profitto.	12 But who can discern his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults.
13 Le inavvertenze chi le discerne? Assolvimi dalle colpe che non vedo.	13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14 Anche dall'orgoglio salva il tuo servo perché su di me non abbia potere; allora sarò irreprensibile, sarò puro dal grande peccato.	14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
15 Ti siano gradite le parole della mia bocca, davanti a te i pensieri del mio cuore. Signore, mia rupe e mio redentore.
