EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Del maestro de coro. Según la melodía de «La paloma de los dioses lejanos». De David. Mictán. Cuando los filisteos se apoderaron de él en Gat.	1 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
2 Ten piedad de mí, Señor, porque me asedian, todo el día me combaten y me oprimen:	2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
3 mis enemigos me asedian sin cesar, son muchos los que combaten contra mí.	3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4 Cuando me asalta el temor, yo pongo mi confianza en ti, Dios Altísimo;	4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
5 confío en Dios y alabo su Palabra, confío en él y ya no temo: ¿qué puede hacerme un simple mortal?	5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 Me afligen constantemente con sus palabras, sólo piensan en hacerme daño;	6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
7 conspiran, se esconden y siguen mis rastros, esperando la ocasión de quitarme la vida.	7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
8 ¿Podrán librarse a pesar de su maldad? ¡Derriba a esa gente, Dios mío, con tu enojo!	8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
9 Tú has anotado los pasos de mi destierro; recoge mis lágrimas en tu odre: ¿acaso no está todo registrado en tu Libro?	9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
10 Mis enemigos retrocederán cuando te invoque. Yo sé muy bien que Dios está de mi parte;	10 In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
11 confío en Dios y alabo su palabra;	11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
12 confío en él y ya no temo: ¿qué pueden hacerme los hombres?	12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
13 Debo cumplir, Dios mío, los votos que te hice: te ofreceré sacrificios de alabanza,	13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
14 porque tú libraste mi vida de la muerte y mis pies de la caída, para que camine delante de Dios en la luz de la vida.
