1 Au maître de chant. Avec les instruments à cordes. Psaume de David.	1 Unto the end, in verses. A psalm of David.
2 Écoute-moi quand j’appelle, ô Dieu mon défenseur, toi qui dans l’angoisse m’as fait respirer. Aie pitié de moi, entends ma prière.	2 When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
3 Gens prétentieux, quand donc allez-vous comprendre? Vous aimez ce qui est creux et le mensonge vous plaît.	3 O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
4 Sachez que le Seigneur fait pour moi des merveilles, le Seigneur m’écoute quand je l’appelle.	4 Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
5 Soyez furieux, mais ne faites rien, dites-le pour vous seuls dans votre lit, et puis taisez-vous.	5 Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
6 Offrez le sacrifice comme il se doit et comptez sur le Seigneur.	6 Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
7 Beaucoup disent: “Qui nous donnera le bonheur? la lumière de sa face a fui loin de nous.”	7 The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
8 Mais pour moi, tu m’as mis la joie au cœur, plus qu’à voir abondance de blé et de vin.	8 By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
9 En paix je me couche et m’endors: oui, toi seul, Seigneur, tu mets en sûreté mon gîte.	9 In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest:
	10 for thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
