1 Au maître de chant. De David, serviteur de Yahvé.	1 Unto the end, for the servant of God, David himself.
2 Le méchant, dans son cœur, n’entend que la voix du péché. La crainte de Dieu n’est pas présente à ses yeux.	2 The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin : there is no fear of God before his eyes.
3 Il se voit d’un trop bon œil pour découvrir son mal,	3 For in his sight he hath done deceitfully, that his iniquity may be found unto hatred.
4 pour taire ses paroles méchantes et mensongères; il ne pense même plus à faire le bien.	4 The words of his mouth are iniquity and guile : he would not understand that he might do well.
5 Jusque sur son lit il médite l’injustice. Il s’obstine sur un chemin qui n’est pas le bon, il ne condamne pas le mal.	5 He hath devised iniquity on his bed, he hath set himself on every way that is not good : but evil he hath not hated.
6 Seigneur, ta grâce est à la hauteur des cieux, ta vérité s’élève jusqu’aux nuées.	6 O Lord, thy mercy is in heaven, and thy truth reacheth, even to the clouds.
7 Ta justice est l’égale des montagnes altières, et tes jugements comme le grand abîme; hommes ou bêtes, tu es le sauveur de tous.	7 Thy justice is as the mountains of God, thy judgments are a great deep. Men and beasts thou wilt preserve, O Lord :
8 Ô Dieu, que ta grâce est précieuse, les fils d’Adam s’abritent à l’ombre de tes ailes.	8 O how hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! But the children of men shall put their trust under the covert of thy wings.
9 Ils se rassasient de l’opulence de ta maison, et tu leur donnes à boire au torrent de tes délices.	9 They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure.
10 En toi se trouve la source de vie, et c’est par ta lumière que nous voyons la lumière.	10 For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light.
11 Donne encore ta grâce à ceux qui te connaissent et ta justice aux hommes au cœur droit.	11 Extend thy mercy to them that know thee, and thy justice to them that are right in heart.
12 Ne permets pas que l’orgueilleux me piétine ou que la main du méchant me chasse.	12 Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the sinner move me.
13 Mais non, voilà ces malfaisants à terre, les voilà renversés sans pouvoir se relever.	13 There the workers of iniquity are fallen, they are cast out, and could not stand.
