David. ALEPH. Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam, | 1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. Judge me, Lord, for I have been walking in my innocence, and by hoping in the Lord, I will not be weakened. |
BETH. Deus meus, in te confido; non erubescam. Neque exsultent super me inimici mei, | 2 Examine me, Lord, and test me: enkindle my temperament and my heart. |
GHIMEL. etenim universi, qui sustinent te, non confundentur. Confundantur infideliter agentes propter vanitatem. | 3 For your mercy is before my eyes, and I am serene in your truth. |
DALETH. Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi et semitas tuas edoce me. | 4 I have not sat with the council of emptiness, and I will not enter with those who carry out injustice. |
HE. Dirige me in veritate tua et doce me, quia tu es Deus salutis meae, VAU. et te sustinui tota die. | 5 I have hated the assembly of the malicious; and I will not sit with the impious. |
ZAIN. Reminiscere miserationum tuarum, Domine, et misericordiarum tuarum, quoniam a saeculo sunt. | 6 I will wash my hands among the innocent, and I will surround your altar, O Lord, |
HETH. Peccata iuventutis meae et delicta mea ne memineris; secundum misericordiam tuam memento mei tu, propter bonitatem tuam, Domine. | 7 so that I may hear the voice of your praise and describe all your wonders. |
TETH. Dulcis et rectus Dominus, propter hoc peccatores viam docebit; | 8 O Lord, I have loved the beauty of your house and the dwelling place of your glory. |
IOD. diriget mansuetos in iudicio, docebit mites vias suas. | 9 O God, do not let my soul perish with the impious, nor my life with the men of blood, |
CAPH. Universae viae Domini misericordia et veritas custodientibus testamentum eius et testimonia eius. | 10 in whose hands are iniquities: their right hand has been filled by bribes. |
LAMED. Propter nomen tuum, Domine, propitiaberis peccato meo: multum est enim. | 11 But as for me, I have been walking in my innocence. Redeem me, and have mercy on me. |
MEM. Quis est homo, qui timet Dominum? Docebit eum viam, quam eligat. | 12 My foot has stood firm in the straight path. In the churches, I will bless you, O Lord. |
NUN.
PHE. Respice in me et miserere mei, quia unicus et pauper sum ego.
SADE. Dilata angustias cordis mei et de necessitatibus meis erue me.
Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum et dimitte universa delicta mea.
RES. Respice inimicos meos, quoniam multiplicati sunt et odio crudeli oderunt me.
SIN. Custodi animam meam et erue me; non erubescam, quoniam speravi in te.
TAU. Innocentia et aequitas custodiant me, quia sustinui te.
